Greg Lansky's approach was 'remove all unnecessary'. Kayden takes the route of 'add all possible'. Avoiding looking like traditional vixen is a tenet that is more controlling than freeing, in the want of a vision Kayden simply doesn't have. Deeper can use IR, night sequences, lesbian, anal, whatever, and Kayden uses all these to make an 'look i can do whatever' rather than 'i wanted to do this'.
People visiting Deeper may have reactions ranging from 'this is too artsy' to downright alternative and even creepy. Kayden can't seperate professional from personal and, at the same time, doesn't seem to personally invested in her projects either. Why would a director want to relegate herself to..art director?

What? Kayden's work has always been experimental and artsy even before Deeper.com with TRENCHCOATx. To me, she's the only porn director out there doing something different. It's artsy but also going into gonzo, it's story-driven but still has long sex scenes, it's inclusive but still uses glamorous pornstars. And to say Kayden isn't personally invested in her project when she's writing 100+ page porn scripts is really insulting. Muse Season 1 and 2 and Drive are 5-star masterpieces Try watching Muse Season 2 scene with Maitland Ward and Aubery Kate(before the sex) "Why I hate Jesus" speech or the dialogue right before the gangbang from Maitland. Kayden isn't just looking to make the same shitty porn everybody's used to jacking off to. She's also looking to make a piece of art that will make you think, long after you dropped your load.
Edit: Also, I'm so over with hearing about Greg in here. he left the business, and I never thought he was that great anyway

Like the old saying goes "Too many cooks, Spoil the broth" Too many people involved made it too chaotic and really annoying to watch, plus it was really short so nobody really got a chance to shine.

Vixen Shoots Are Looking Cheaper Than Ever. They Never Had Passion.
The budget disparity of having money to blow on greatest stars to create a nothingburger of a scene vs having to shoot sex in same dark grey room with no outdoor pictures preceding it.
1. Kayden bites more than she can chew. 2. Deeper does not have brand recognition of vixen/tushy. 3. Only Deeper could have Angela White, Maitland Ward and Kenzie Anne in a scene and create no buzz prior to release or good reception thereafter.
Angela White, Maitland Ward and Kenzie Anne. Those girls are super overrated to begin with. What is needed in modern porn are proper directors, a decent script, good camera work. Go watch la femme objet and it's clear where Deeper is lacking. And Deeper is the best modern porn has to offer. I think they have the budget to make great stuff. Maybe don't put it all to pay crazy salaries of overrated stars?
Blacked was the first of the vmg sites and that and blackedraw are my favorite and I enjoyed tushy as well. It does seem like deeper gets the most of the budget these days and its the least interesting the vmg sites to me and the one that feels less like the others.It feels like its dragging down the network.

^ You're right on mark. First, the name - Deeper - sucks. Second, Kayden could make it about something - black women or mature women or pleasure of women etc but she made it about nothing at all. Meanwhile other vixen sites are razer focused and commited to their themes.
Deeper has an alternative / creepy vibe, like, there is going to be a splash of blood on actors or something. No wonder it has a fraction of threads on ADT compared to other vixen sites.
Vixen has total 7 websites. Think how good 1 website with that budget could be. They diversified because they did not have confidence in one. Again, I suggest a Vixen+ that updates once a month but has solid, non brainer update, it can be offered at no extra charge for people who have access to other vixen websites and it will kill the need to do cross site showcases.
^ Deeper is about glam and slightly kinky. Fifty shades of grey but turned up a few notches. Porn that is also maybe enjoyable for women to watch but idk if many women are subscribed. Porn with a story to it, although that is what I want it to be. Not every scene is like that. It's not as monotone as the other sites. At Deeper each scene is somewhat unique.I'd much rather watch starlet Jazlyn Ray for example. If you compare someone who just entered porn vs someone who's been there for many years. And I try to look through my preferences in looks cause that is highly subjective. Just focusing on performance and personality.
I like Deeper but sometimes it gets too artistic for it's own good and can sometimes ruin a scene.

Nice Bible Black "shout out" That was great a Hentai series, I have a Bible Black pc game I bought at Anime Con years ago. Other Hentai series that would be great porns would be Cool Device or Nightmare Campus. I really only watched Kayden's feature series or movies like Drive and Muse( both are 5-star movies) but haven't watched much of the Deeper vignettes stories. Some are ok but you're right on Deeper not having that much depth in their stories and plots. And them not really going that much into BDSM and fetish stories.
