Interesting, isn't it? For a Linux company, $100 MM is a huge chunk of change, even one like Red Hat. Given that the majority of Dell's server hardware is sold with Linux installed on it instead of Windows, with the distro very often being Red Hat, I'm not surprised that investment firm handling Micheal Dell's account made this investment.
