I agree that people are making waaaay too big a deal about what she said but yeah, it was classless to say what she did at an event where people are there to honor achievememts and celebrate accomplishments. Even if there was an award for "ass blasting felching" there are people who worked hard to make that happen and may be proud of their work. It was classless for one of the industry's own to say what Jenna did at an event of celebration.
Jenna looks like a person who is in serious danger of death, either as a result of drugs or anorexia nervosa or some combination. She really ought to be in our thoughts and prayers.

My .02c as a former Jenna fan. I thought when she first got in the biz, she had a great, natural body and look. Over the years, she transferred her drug problem into an addiction to plastic surgery. I was a member of her website, but after a few of her chats and watching numerous interviews over the years, I came to believe that she was almost never honest to her audience, or the interviewer. I don't think she is a mean person, but I think she had so much trauma in her early life, that she can't seem to find peace. Porn brought her wealth, but it didn't heal her inner wounds. I thought she had found happiness with Jay, but apparently not. Judging by her current appearance, I'd say she is far from well, emotionally or physically.

It's just she thinks she is bigger than the industry that made her. Nothing wrong with venturing into other interests outside porn but for her to in a way backstab what made her famous, her bridges have been burn beyond repair. She will be forgotten for the next big star sooner or later.
Her exact words were "I will never spread my legs in this business anymore." I think I was probably one of only 5 or so people at the awards who actually applauded her. It was clear from her expression that making this statement was hard for her. I also don't think she was trying to make any grander statement against the industry as a whole. She was simply stating a career decision. The main area of interpretation is her choice of words. The fact that she said "spread her legs" instead or say "appear in films" or "continue acting" could be construed as having negative implications, but I don't think that was her point. Jameson is at the point in her career where I think she might feel her "mainstream" opportunities are opening up and therefore, a continued career in porn might hinder her chances at becoming a more popular mainstream actress or personality. I give her credit for not pulling a Traci Lords or Linda Lovelace and coming up with some crap about being "forced into it" or being abused or taken advantage of. We must also all remember that she said she will continue to manage her company. All in all, I say Kudos to Jenna.

I spoke to Jenna the day after the awards show, first of all this was no news flash. she hasn't shot a movie in 2 years. Second, from her mouth, she was just trying to clear the air as if she was going to shoot again, and that answer was no, she was not going to shoot again. She didn't mean any disrespect to anyone. Not the preformers, not the studios, not the fans. Jenna loves her fans, she loves this business, she knows that this business is what made her what she is today. I am kind of sick at everybody taking a shot at her whenever they find a slight opening to do so. The only person that called me to say he was insulted was Teri Weigals husband Murrell. He is intitled to his opinion, not matter how tilted it is. But everyone can rest assure that Jenna meant no harm or disrespect to anyone. I don't think Jenna has ever said that she doesn't love porn or the porn business. Jenna said she is no longer working in front or the camera, kind of like Ron Howard, he doesn't work in front of the camera, but is involved in making movies. Jenna is still very much involved in Club Jenna. As for the awards show, I think a lot of surprises were there. Believe want you want, but AVN goes through a lenghty process to determine the winners. The winner of best new company was a total surprise. As a matter of fact, I never heard of them until the show.

I have worked for Steven for 20 years and have known him for 25 years, and I can tell you one thing about him, he doesn't forget anything. Every award Vivid has won, and it is more than any other company, was well deserved and the result of hard work. When we don't win, it is because somebody else worked hard and deserved their award. It isn't a case of who worked harder, it is a case of the judges at AVN giving the nod to they think did the best job. No matter what you believe the truth is those awards are not bought with advertising dollars or gifts to judges. Sexy Pictures won because they made a really good movie, even if it cost them a ton of money to produce it, and sales didin't equal a profit. It put them on the map. Bo did not buy best picture 2 years in a row. And I'm not tripping.

Then I will ask again, why did Vivid only win 2 awards 2 years ago? Do you think that rocked the boat? Why did Digital Playground fair so poorly this year? I know Paul Fishbein very well, he is a man of integrity, he is not going to risk selling awards to further his finacial interest. I have seen people advertise, win nothing, get pissed and pull their ads.
I think a lot of people are tired of the cookie cutter porn formula that so many Directors and producers follow. I for one have made the crossover and I really only want to shoot / watch reality based porn. As a performer I always liked the real scenes where Directors would say "ok you two do your thing and I'll shoot it". I always hated the over manipulated and scripted scenes where every position is calculated and worn down to the last drop. True it hasn't always been easy, but it has always been worth it to be with her. I see you point about the Jenna deal and I will make an effort to see a more current video (any suggestions), I will give you my thoughts on it after I see it. In regards to the vivid thing yes it did bum me out that I had to pass, I had just gone under contract to perform for another company. I do remember that I was bummed out because at that time I really felt that Vivid was the end goal for any performer. I would have jumped on it in a heart beat if I could have. I'm sure for you things in the porn valley have always been good, I mean not all of us are friends with one of the biggest names in the biz, nice a cozy in the Kings house I'm sure. If the sex in the Massuese sucked why did it sweep the awards that year? Why has it sold over 500k copies? It came out years ago, and Jenna has done many movies that released since then, since you admittedly haven't seen them, you are talking out of your ass. Most of the girls you have mentioned are gonzo girls, some are out of the business, with the exception of Bree Olson who was a gonzo girl, now under contract. With the exception of about three of the girls you mentioned, in my opinion, means that you have borderline bad taste, to each his own. But the girls you mentioned speaks volumes about what you like. The thing that bothered her the most is that we didn't have a booth on the floor and she was unable to greet all her fans. That is the truth. Just because a movie sweeps an awards show, doesn't mean it's good - Ever seen "The English Patient"? Just because something sells, doesn't make it good either - Ever hear of Miley Cirus? I haven't seen any of her movies because I can't imagine they'd be an improvement on anything she's done previously. She's not nearly as hot as she was about 15 years ago. What's wrong with liking gonzo? I'm not watching porn for the story. If you are, bullie for you. I'm not bashing her. I'm giving my opinion of her based on what I've seen of her. Maybe she's the sweetest thing on 2 feet. But from what I've seen of her, at awards shows and her biography's, she's a stuck up snot. Not sure what to tell you. Clearly, we have different opinions of what good porn is. Personally, I wouldn't spend $10 on anything Vivid did anymore. Anything I have seen, the picture's been grainy at best. After viewing the video of Jenna at the Awards, I believe she had some sort of dissociative episode, judging from her demeanor (body language, etc). It was as if she forgot where she was, who she was talking to, and what she was supposed to be doing (reading off the monitor). Her childhood was very traumatic, and she likely suffers post traumatic stress from it, so this has to be expected. And like someone else said, she has probably been very hurt about all the rumors over the past year.
. What I can't get over is that 'IM' feeling a little just a tad sympathy for JJ. I wonder if Stern(I dont have satellite) is still promoting her to some extent.
