These are all prosumer models. You can spend 20-30 up to 50k on the high end broadcast class DVCAM type decks...Panasonic and Sony rule the roost here with a few other brands like JVC and Ikegami fighting over scraps in the value sector at about the 10k price point. I mention them because some studios use very high end equipment but it's overkill for most shooters in the gonzo genre , let alone someone buying for personal use. The Sony/Canon rigs above deliver 90% of the output at 1/10th the price.

Panasonic makes a few high quality 3CCD models that rival the Sony/Canon prosumer offerings at about 1/2 the price for roughly the same feature set.
