I do it because I like it anyway. But watching Christoph Clarks 2003 opus EHB20 again I realized how much I enjoyed the small story behind Scarlets scene. I just take this as an example of well played aditional thrill not interfering with the basic gonzo Fuck-fast-and move-on-to-the-next-scene. So: Scarlet is about to leave and walks to her car in a huge indoor parking place. One guy walks up to her and wants sex. She sais she has no time, but presented his cock she gladly sucks it from inside her car within 10secs . Soon they procede to the corridor where he fucks her cloths on standing against bare concret walls. 2 other studs walk up. She fucks them. The 4 proceed further into the building, fuck her a bit, finally take an elevater to a flat. Here Scarlet just drops on her fours on the first carpet to get fucked. Later they gape and dp her - not more than 7 mins into this scene - on a chair. Finally she takes 3 cum-shots mainly in her mouth. She smiles, than asks: "May I go to work now?", gets up, walks to the elevater and leaves the flat with it. My guess is that these extra little touches are perceived to add too much to the production costs to be used for "mere" gonzo wall-to-wall productions. Guy Capo DVSX 100 Posts 7/03	Posted - Jun 7 2005 : 4:35PM Take it from me...It's A LOT OF FUCKING WORK to deliver gonzo sex that has a reason behind it, as is the case in most of my work, like "GRUDGEFUCK", "GIRLY THOUGHTS", and "PROS" (all available on the DVSX label). The simplest scenarios / vignettes, in order to be even moderately well delivered, must be very well planned, thoughtfully cast, and then deliberately coached and directed as they are shot...not to mentioned painstakingly edited in order to maximize their entertainment value to the viewer. There is a very fine line between delivering a decent scene, and just making an asshole out of yourself as a director, or producing the typical porno-fodder that has killed the market for sex with any kind of storyline. It is a very tough niche indeed...one I love and loathe at the same time... Edited for poor speeling...sorry... HAHAHAHA! If the Porn market was more about well shot films like you, Mason, and some others shoot. I can think of at least 3 of the scenes where you actually get to witness the negotiations and exchange of money. It's shot in true documentary style...not to be confused with amateur POV style hand-held bullshit...This looks and feels much more like HBO than hand-held porn...but the sex is pure wall to wall with good lighting and production value. I would like to come back around to the street hustle for PROS#4 (not yet in production), and get back to the gritty aspects of the sex workers industry. Because I don't think there are many directors who can shoot both genres very well. Get aspiring indie directors/film students to shoot the talking parts, and the industry porn directors shoot the fucking parts. And then somehow edit the two together, or not edit it at all, just slap the scenes together talk/fuck/talk/fuck, like what they did in one movie that's out now called 9 songs I wonder how long it'll be until we see that kind of collaboration where a Phoenix Ray or a Winona Ryder or Paris Hilton will be on a Sofia Coppola set one day, and then doing a gonzo scene with Mike John the next? Click to expand It's unfortunate that the "Gonzo" genre has come to include the "all sex" titles. To me, "Gonzo" really means exactly the type of movie that Meinhagen is talking about. One that includes a premise to the sex. I think that the vast majority of titles being created now are better defined as "all sex" or "wall to wall" (which, I think is the phrase that AVN used to use (or may still use) for the "girl gets fucked on couch" genre.
