If a good director tends to get the ladies I find sexy, while focusing in on a few fetishes (or preferences) that I also Like then I'm happy. Which directors that do features do you like? And, what are their fetish? For example, I'm a Jim Powers Fan. I feel he has a fetish for pig tails, young females, male fantasies (with men being strong and in control, while the female is submissive, but horny or seduced into the sex). Many directors try to follow the classical male fantasies but they fail. They might try the husband/babysitter theme, but the babysitter is wearing stripper heels or the babysitter is too eager, too talk or sometimes too old looking.

And speaking of that, he directs better sex scenes than a lot of feature directors as well. He's been a free agent, working for various companies over the years, and I always felt he deserved better than that. He'll be doing some feature work for RLD soon, so I'll be keeping an eye on that, but I think James Avalon deserves more credit than he gets. |

If a producer or director does not like a scene they will pop into the writing chair as if to say ... "hey anybody can do this." Many producers, directors (or just studios) feel ... "hey lets give them more sex scenes and everybody will be happy ." But that's not the case. In my opinion, there is nothing worse then a boring, predictable story with predictable, passionless sex. You buy the DVD, watch it and feel ripped off. Then the DVD takes up space (usually a small hiding place from a g/f or wife if you know what I mean). Kitty Marie ... is sexy, white ass with a big sexy booty ... Kitty Marie |

Making movies that emulate a mainstream plot is like ice climbing with toothpicks. (Most) talent arrive on set to focus on one thing - have sex. You could have spent a month wordsmithing your polished 25 pager and even get it to the key performers weeks before production, and they will still show up without having glanced at page one. The people that carve out a market, like the 'master of erotica' himself, James Avalon, are really fighting an uphill battle and when they succeed, accolades are certainly due. I wholeheartedly agree with the notion that a plot, or set-up to the sex is what makes this world tick. Without the sexual mood developed, the scene is too monotonuos. I hear a lot of raincoat wearing thread writers asking for more story after years of gonzo domination. Call me strange, but I actually get wood now shooting the dialogue scenes much more frequently than shooting the sex. I get off feeling like I'm making a real movie. The sex can get pretty hum-drum and I finally understand why a lot of directors that have been around awhile, hardly pay attention to the shooting of the sex scenes. Even though I'm a wanna-be filmmaker, I still like the Evil Angel crowd the most. They manage to get a mood going before showing some heavy duty gonzo style sex. The more fetishy the enviroment, the better. Christof RULES! |
