What Nica Noelle has written above has just confirmed what I've been thinking for awhile - that some of the agents in this business are an absolute menace. I was looking online to see if there were any updates on the Katie Summers vs Stagliano lawsuit and came across this which dates back to the time of the Mr Marcus syphilis outbreak last year: " Smash Pictures wanted Summers to shoot a six-man gangbang to be directed by Jim Powers. They booked Summers before the syphilis outbreak, and the scene was to have been shot Thursday. Foxxx Modeling was insistent Summers do the scene for which she was going to be paid big bucks. In light of the outbreak, Summers wasn’t comfortable with the idea, feeling that a 10 day quarantine wasn’t enough to substantiate shooting a six-man gangbang. Summers was told it was very unprofessional that she took this route. In turn, she felt it was unprofessional that Foxxx tried to bully her into doing the scene. In the meantime, Stuart Wall from Smash Pictures contacted Summers saying he heard she retired from the business. Smash Pictures employees then began texting Summers saying they heard the same thing. Prince Yahshua then weighed in. He contacted Summers and told her she had such a promising career. I think the whole situation is just begging for trouble. Even if the agent is a reasonably cool and honest person, disputes are just bound to pop up. As much as we'd all like to give the ladies the benefit of the doubt, the wrongdoing could easily be on the part of the performer as well. Now when something comes up and you only have each person's word for what went down, who are people naturally going to side with? It just gives the porn haters more rotten food to throw at the industry if they can prove that agents sometimes exploit their power.
Someone just posted on Girlfriends forum asking why all the Girlfriends movies have disappeared from AEBN. It will be interesting to see if they get an answer.
^It could be some kind of pissing contest but I was under the impression that GFF chose Hot Movies has their main streaming site. Maybe this is their way of consolidating their business under one banner or maybe Hot Movies payback rates are better than AEBN. If you are a fan of GFF movies then you must now use only Hot Movies but they have 369 titles. I don't think AEBN ever had as many titles.
^^^ Nope. Girlfriends Films are available on VOD on quite a few websites besides the Hotmovies websites. E.G. Adult Empire, Gamelink, Data 18, dvderotik etc. AEBN appears to be the only VOD site they've been pulled from.
Naturally, there will be those who will forgive and forget but there are those who will feel he broke the most sacred trust between performers in this profession and no number of apologies will make up for it. Some performers won't work because they won't feel his test results could be trusted and some producers won't be associated with him because it may give the impression they have no problem casting people with falsified test results. I wonder if you would take the same stance if Mr. Marcus falsified a test for something that can't be treated so easily....
"treated so easily" ... yep it was, unfortunately I was the first performer (I assume) to ever catch the dogged bacteria. You can think from here on out I'd be the safest performer in the business, because I'd be scrutinized so closely. They could put my results out there every 2 weeks if they wanted, you'd never see me go through that mess again. But your right if you could read the minds of said producer he'd be saying "I don't want people to think I'm cool with him"...even though I'm still the same person, wiser and older...better. Don't count me out, no matter what I'm up against, my experience has been a good experience, I'm coming back and holding everything I do to a higher standard...you haven't seen anything yet. I've had one of the more interesting careers in the last 20 years, what happened to me could happen to anyone, as we've seen in the past few weeks, I survived it and though there are looming challenges, I'm prepared to prove myself all over again. But even more so, is the fact that I've always loved this industry, good and bad, the people in it, the fans, the business all those nuances, the competition, the girls, the challenges, I always told people this is a young industry and it has had it's share of growing pains. I have definitely grown with it and will continue to grow with it.
Mr. Marcus, I can honestly say that I would never hide a syphilis test from anyone no matter what financial condition I was in. Even if my internist told me I was OK with the test still showing positive I would have verified it with Dr. Miao before even thinking about performing again. Dr. Miao would have told you that you needed a Trep-Sure test and if that were negative you could work again. When others lives are on the line in business you make damn sure you aren't fucking up! From what I have heard you had secondary syphilis with the rash on your dick in July 2012 and had primary syphilis with the chancre in March 2012, that takes longer to cure and most doctors haven't ever run into a case so your internist probably was talking out his asshole when he gave you the OK to return to work. I don't feel bad that your career was ruined, you had to serve 30 days in jail and the Lylith LaVey lawsuit is going to break you for the rest of your life. That is what happens when you lie about your VD tests in porn. I know I would never cast you in any of my productions, in my opinion you need to be able to trust the test results performers provide and I can't ever trust yours again. My suggestion to you is to go to trade school, take up a trade and start a new career in a machine shop somewhere. My father made a good career out of being a millwright. Since you have a felony criminal record the business, medical and government fields are not an option for you, fortunately for the rest of us.
I haven't followed the Mr. Marcus saga as closely as Mharris, but I suspect he is right. If you falsify documents, and endanger the health (and the income) of your co-workers, that is a fundamental breech of trust. While trust can always be restored, sometimes it takes years, and Mr. Marcus needs to keep body and soul together in the mean time.

No, this is what happens when people file frivolous lawsuits and look for excuses to scapegoat others. No crime was committed, and therefore no basis for a valid lawsuit. I don't believe that just because someone makes one mistake, that he can never be trusted again. If that were the case, then mostly everybody in porn would be blacklisted for things that they've done. I would have absolutely no problem casting him in a production, or seeing him cast in a production. But feel free to continue being a judgmental prig, if it makes you feel better.
^ Realtip, I tend to believe in second chances myself. However when human lives are involved I draw the line. HIV kills, it may not be a guaranteed quick, painful death like it was in the 80's but some people don't get on with the medications and still die quick and painfully. As far as I am concerned if he would hide syphilis he would hide HIV as well. Killers only get one chance in my book and I believe Mr. Marcus has the propensity to kill if he happened to get HIV and were still in the biz. Therefore I could not morally cast him in any porn scene that I was directing. I can accept the risk of HIV in the biz with everyone being honest about their VD tests even though I don't like it. I cannot accept the vastly increased risk where people either don't test or lie about the test results. I rationalize it as people know that they risk HIV when they fuck multiple partners regularly, with or without condoms. They depend on the testing to minimize that risk, however and should not have to contend with liars like Mr. Marcus lying about their test results. There are just some things you don't lie about when sex is involved. By the way Realtip the word is prick, not prig. I have been around a long time, I can take it when people disagree with me. In fact, I will fight if necessary to preserve your right to disagree with me or anyone else. I have relatives that fought in WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam and Desert Storm/Desert Shield to preserve that right. Most of them paid for it in blood, sweat and tears. Fortunately none died although one went down with John F. Kennedy in the famous boat sinking during WWII. Another fought on the ground with General Patton during WWII. My doctor is not an asshole, he's actually well respected. Dr. Miao doesn't deal with TTS where I was tested. I could've went to CET at least there they would have handled it differently (but remember they weren't going to be testing for syphilis until September) TTS said go see a doctor, but I had already seen my doctor and was treated with an intramuscular penicillin G shot in the rear - so the test I took was going to read reactive because of the now dead syphilis cells. Hence non-contagious. No one caught anything from me and that has been verified by LA county of Public Health plus I have an email from Derrick Hayes at Direct Models stating the same if that makes you feel any better, I know I was relieved. So the criminal and the civil cases were "out of the blue" I think it had more to do with pressure from AHF and some people within the industry but they didn't know the facts and unfortunately I didn't get the chance to present them in court at least in the criminal, but I will in the civil. I have more of an understanding of this situation because I went through it and I'm still here educating others about it. I'm open to discussion, just refrain from constantly talking shit about me and really not knowing me or what I've been through. Thank you. Have a good day.
