I have 2 gay friends but no transexual friends. They both use the mens room. I was watching Howard Stern last week and he had Vaniity on. Howard kept raving how much of a woman he looked like and if he didn't know that Vaniity was a transexual, he would think he was a real woman. Maybe, maybe not, whatever. I kept hoping Howard would ask Vaniity if he used the men's room or the ladies' room and what happens if he walks into the mens room, hikes up his dress, whips out his cock and pisses into a urinal. A 6' woman pissing into a urinal. I've never seen that and I work in NYC. Do you guys have any transexual friends? Where do they go?

I do not have any trannie friends but there are LGBT places all over the place and i guess those people are welcome to hang out and be themselves instead of facing difficult choices when they are out with friends.

Yes, I have several transgender friends ('transgender' is the term which refers to the wide range of cross- or trans- behaviours and orientations, inclduing cross-dressers, drag kings/queens, genderqueers and pre- and post-op transsexuals), as my girlfriend of several years was a staff worker for a large transgender activist and social group.
I believe that your question of "Where do they go?" refers to which toilet does one use, and I can tell you that this is always a difficult - and potentially very dangerous - question.
If we take for example a friend I have who is a transgender F-to-M man, meaning that he was born with female sex organs, but self-identifies as male, and through hormone therapy he very much looks the part. He does however still possess the female organs, and it can be dangerous entering either washroom.
In a men's washroom he runs the risk of having men wonder why he needs to sit to pee, and thus can be "outed" - which can of course be a problem, especially if there is more than one man, and especially if those men are both unenlightened and feeling violent.
In a women's washroom, he most certainly runs the risk of people thinking he is a pervert trying to go in to take a peek at the ladies, and again, this can be a potentially very dangerous situation depending on how big a deal - and how much noise - is made of his supposed peeping behaviour.
So what is the solution? If at all possible, find a single-person restroom. If not, wait for no one to be around, go into the Men's Room, and get out as soon as possible.

I think Buck Angel walking into a ladies' room might be interesting. I imagine it's more more dangerous to walk into a ladies' room.

i had a "close friend" who was trans, but was technically male, but he could pass as female when he dressed up. Just had a conversation with a friend of mine like 30 minutes ago about how i wish i never would have met the trans person. Totally used me and was nothing but a big gigantic fucking headache.

I have many TS friends, and I'm trans. According to the state in which I reside I am legally female and I use the womens restroom. Generally trans people use whichever restroom they are least likely to get harassed in, and if they don't pass (or have conflicting Identification) they look for single occupancy bathrooms.

my "friend" would use the female bathroom when dressed as a woman and the male bathroom while in regular clothes.

It sounds like you are confusing a crossdresser with a Transsexual. TS don't "dress up" like girls and then live as boys. Sorry to hear this shady CD fucked you over.

It's cool, I'm not the gender police. Maybe she was just at an early stage in her transition and was planning on taking it further. Generally the term TS is understood to mean a transgendered person who undergoes hormone treatment and or pursues various surgical procedures. Cross dressers are straight dudes that get a masturbatory kick out of putting on womens clothes, Drag queens are generally gay men who dress like women. TS men and women are a different entity.

This reminds be of a very funny Howard Stern story.
Long before she created "The View" Barbara Walters had a morning talk show that she hosted by herself. One morning about 20 years ago, she had Howard Stern on as a guest.
As it turns out, in the audience were 3 spectacular looking model types sitting directly in front of Stern in the front row. These girls gushed and laughed at every wise ass thing that he said. At one point Barbara, very coyly suggested that Howard should step down into the audience and introduce himself to the very flirtatious ladies.
As he leaped from his chair, Howard's tongue was pretty much hanging out of his mouth and dragging onto the floor. He then starts talking his talk to them, they start running their hands over his chest and back, and the next thing anyone knows, his tongue had left the floor and one at a time it was firmly implanted in their respective throats. He was really in to his hot stud thing. It was quite a scene.
Barbra began to draw him back onto the stage. At that point the ladies turned straight into the camera and pulled off their wigs. By now you surely have guessed, they were guys.
I didn't think that it was possible that a man could turn pale, purple an red, all at the same time, but Howard did. He could not talk and Barbara laughed her ass off.
My apologies for being way off topic.

An interesting article in this week's NOW Magazine (Toronto) about transgender individuals.
When gender is tender
(Note: if you click on the link after July 1 2009 it will go to some other story)
