I've teetered on this fence for quite some time now, it's just that I'm still not ready to care. ^ Depends what you're doing in the porn industry. Let's not act like it's a monolith, even if things seem to look the same. I also think "morality" is pretty useless avenue of analysis when it comes to sexuality and media. Perhaps compassion and humanity would be better terms? That way, if it's consensual and pleasurable, with everyone on the same page and being respected, then if it doesn't float your boat you don't have to be against it. Surely dismissing an entire genre simply because you judge it according to its lowest common denominator is counterproductive if what you're really going for is improvement of mankind (or, humankind - or are you just talking about the men who perform/watch?). Trying to highlight problems, improve industries, and generally make progress by supporting the people who are doing a good job and have a conscience is likely a more productive route to an improved situation for everyone.

Great post and pretty damn accurate as to what I've seen so far. 1. Awards for grainy colorless video's.... Jules Jordan is a prime example of what is wrong with the adult business. He is simply the product of a very slick and deceptive marketing machine over at AVN. Bullshit over substance and ability or talent. The AVN awards are as rigged and phony as an Iranian election. I recently read Jules Jordan's statement on a webmasters site, where he declared himself a "LEGEND". Oh paleeze... I'm still laughing at that one... Jules care to explain that comment to everyone? Perhaps a little to full of yourself? Just sayin... 2. Bisexual men taking there issues out on women? Hmmm... Maybe that is why gonzo is what it is... violent and degrading towards women. It's the opposite of erotic.. You could be on to something here. All these gonzo guys seem so angry... 3. Sexy to hostile... no one can argue with that... Is this a direct reflection of our young peoples values these days? 4. Conditioning for a hell on earth? Certainly I think there has been a dramatic shift from the erotic to the freak show atmosphere that porn has become...
