| moodyblues Member 307 Posts 1/08 | Posted - Apr 16 2008 : 9:49AM LA Direct can get you much work, but the contract you sign with them is very, very hard to break and it is a sweatshop situation, you may have to work 20 days in a row. If you search the forum, you'll get all the stories about different issues and problems performers have experienced with LA Direct (very unpleasant stuff). The agency is run by male talent Ben English. Exotic Star models appears to have merged with A List Talent (which I think is run by performer Lisa Ann?).This is their site http://www.alisttalent.com/main.php I did hear that some performers were not happy there; it had to do with them not getting work and pay rates for work offered, just the usual things performers can be unhappy about, but no major drama like the stories about LA Direct. There is also Goldstar, they are second biggest after LA Direct, and I haven't noticed any bad comments about them posted here. There is also World Modeling, they are licensed, but just reopened. There are other agencies, but they are not state licensed. State licenses require a 25k bond sent to the licensing board up in Sacramento. There are some fairly unsavory stories on this board about those agencies if you use the search function. Come back and let us know who you pick. [Link] |
