IIRC while shopping there I ran across a "bonus" item that was offered because I ordered something else. When I clicked on it to add it to my cart it (seemingly) erased the rest of my order . Swearing tremendously I went back & recreated my order getting the offer of the bonus at the same place which I clicked on again hoping for a better result this time. Nope . After the fourth time of this happening (there are times apparently that the claims of me not being the sharpest knife in the drawer are justified ) I said screw it & didn't choose the bonus item & went right to the checkout. After all that it turned out that everything that I had been fighting with over the last half hour was in my cart multiple times & the total order was over $500 . After reducing quantities back down to one everything went fine after that. So in a long roundabout way , it is quite possible that I missed the checkbox the final time through . I would have no problems ordering from them again (or at least no mental issues ordering from them again, website problems may be another thing ). RT [Link] |

I can't say we haven't made a few mistakes along the way but the aim is to only list stores that are committed to good service. | coolasafanman WantedList.com 29 Posts 1/05 | Posted - Jan 16 2005 : 7:47PM Besides the free accounts that are available (yahoo mail, gmail, hotmail etc), if spam is a serious problem for you, consider getting a cheap hosting account and a domain name from any number of web hosting providers that offer unlimited email addresses. You can register a domain name for about $9 per year, and get hosting for as little as $5/month - shop around. Then, each time you sign up for a site, give them a unique email address off your domain, such as wantedlist@yourdomainname.com. You can even set up a 'catch-all' address, which means that all these emails get forwarded to a single location, such as yourname@yourname.com. This should help you figure out at least partially where the bulk of your spam is coming from. Note: often when people have viruses on their computers that harvest email addresses, you might get sent emails supposedly from any given party. Therefore it's important to also look at the header information in an email message during this process, as some very legitimate services might otherwise get blamed for spam they have not actually sent.
