www.dorcelshop.com has a number of 4 packs on sale for the holidays. I have never ordered from them before (though they are the official store of MD, so I would think they are safe), but I just plunked down for the Laura Angel set. I thought I'd let others know since I see occasional call for Dorcel stuff.
Holy shit, you're right. A few months before I bought my milti-format DVD player, I tried to buy 2 Dorcel titles from Orgazmik. Even though their site implied that they was not PAL discs, Orgazmik e-mailed me and told me that they were, in fact, PAL discs. When I questioned this, they sent me the following reply:
"You are right with this, I guess this information was wrong in our database. Marc Dorcel titles have been NTSC at the beginning but they changed to PAL here in Europe on most titles. The titles you have chosen now say that they are PAL. I'm sorry for the confusion."
After buying the multi-format DVD player, I ordered the same discs while letting them know that I own equipment capable of playing PAL discs. It never occurred to me that they might have been wrong. I just tested both of the discs on one of my NTSC players and both of them play perfectly.
That's great. Now I can load these discs permanently into my mega changer rather than having to load them when I want to watch one of them.
Shipping to the US was $25 making the total $105. High shipping cost, but still a reasonable price delivered. Also, I think there is a bonus DVD tossed in as well, but I'm not positive as my French is weak at best.
No, I haven't recieved it yet, but I did get a human confirmation on my order.
Still wanking after all these years. 8082 Posts 10/00

Fantasma is on offer in the French version of the site.
For the English version it's "Tout le monde dit oui".
Now that's confusing...
I've got the "Tout le monde dit oui", very good DVD directed by the partner of the late Michel Ricaud. I think it was done in the early nineties so it's got this oldie feeling and "full bush" touch which I love
Joey Starr, not to go off topic, but have you gotten the last few emails I've sent you? I want to ship you that package but I haven't gotten a response.
I just wanted to update this in case anyone is buyng Dorcel titles from Europe because they are NTSC.
I just received the two Sarah Young DVD's being distributed by Dorcel. They are NOT NTSC. Both of these DVD's are PAL. These are the only Dorcel DVD's that I own that are not NTSC.
