I've used DVD overnight, it was pretty good, but I'm wondering if anyone else has used others and what their opinions are. I'd especially be interested if anyone has experience with "netflix-style" rental services.
I've used http://www.wantedlist.com/ for about 6 months last year. No problems as I recall. Just $20/month and you get 3 movies out at a time. (Other plans are available.) Add movies to your rental queue and they come as they are available. Don't worry if one is lost or damaged in the mail, you don't pay for them.
http://www.sugardvd.com/home is another one I've tried, but only for a month. I thought their selection was limited and that they were slow.
Doing a quick search I see there is a site called http://www.flicksmart.com/ that claims to have 6000+ movies. (Nearly 300 Private titles, something I always check.) I haven't used that one.
If you can keep up, you might end up seeing 8 discs a month (or more?) bringing the per DVD cost down to under 3 bucks. One thing you check is where they are sending them from.....no reason to go with an East coast company when you are on the West coast, or vice versa, to minimize the mailing time.
All in all it's much more convenient than going to the adult video rental place.
That www.flicksmart.com looks pretty good, but a little more expensive than the others.
I use XrentDVD exclusively as their service has been excellent to date. I don't know how their rates compare to other online stores and, frankly, that's not my primary concern when dealing with Internet companies.

The great thing about some of these is that they offer free trials to give them a try. And most offer up to 8 movies out at a time. You’re quite the man if you can keep up with that. That would almost assure a non-stop supply.
Then again, if you don’t want to be receiving DVDs continuously though-out the month you might want to just stick with the DVD Overnight.
And again, I was pleased with www.wantedlist.com

Thanks HeyNow, I looked at wantedlist.com and flicksmart, those look to be the two best of "netflix-style" in terms of selection. I am sort of leaning towards flicksmart, because they seem to have the largest selection, but wantedlist is a bit cheaper, and the fact that you haven't had any problems in 6 months shows they're a good company. Decisions decisions.
Edit: The one thing that turned me off from wantedlist at the beginning was the different plans' names the "bob dole plan, clarence thomas plan, the bill clinton plan" that is just plain weird
I see you have to have a customer profile with them before you can even browse the adult selection. A knee-jerk reaction to this is to assume they won't be decent source for porn rentals.
They do this to stop minors from perusing. I called them and they provided me with a demo account to use for browsing. The selection is actually fairly good (about as good as my large neighborhood rental joint) and they had a good selection of Evil Angel, Private, etc. I'm considering them because I can mix and match rentals of mainstream, adult and games. But again, I have no experience with them as a company.

Yeah, there are a few that allow you to rent mainstream as well as porno, and maybe games too. To me being a reputable business is the most important then selection/having new titles is the second most important thing, followed by cost. I'm really leaning towards flicksmart.com, anyone used them?
I just subscribed to FlickSmart. They were quick to take my money and quick to inform me that 3 DVDs were on there way to me. I'll let you know how things progress.

Update so far... they shipped the same day that my account was established. They estimated 3 days and it took 3 days. All DVDs are in good shape. No surprises so far!

Cool thanks, I'm seriously considering them. One question, how were they shipped (I assume USPS, but in just a plain envelope, or what?) Also what is the return envelope thingy like?
They came in a plain white envelope with a non-descript return address. Enclosed within was another plain white return envelope with postage attached. And within that was a padded envelope with a bar code on it.
When it comes time to return you put the disc back in the padded envelope and slip that in the return envelope. Then seal and post.

Any more update? How is the return/turnaround time, how is the selection "on hand" (ie do you have to wait in a long queue for all your titles)? Anything else positive or negative?
First, it is flicksmart.com, not flixsmart.com. Go there. Enter past the age screen. Then right at the top in front of your face you will see a sign up banner.
NOTE: This is starting to sound like an infomercial for flicksmart! I don't work for them... I'm just happy with the program so far.

Haha, yeah I was gonna say something like "I am not another Headbanger, I DON'T work for Flicksmart." Damn, 6 DVDs is a lot, I'll definitly go with 3, but I'm still reluctant to pull the trigger. Thanks a lot for the information though, it helped me make a really informed decision.

I belong to one called RedHotFlix.com. It is very much like Netflix and the service rocks. I got a broken DVD once and they sent me another immediately no questions. I just got an email from them saying they are going to start offering "Hollywood" movies this month.

I looked at redhotflix.com, but it's selection is very lacking. Flicksmart and wantedlist have many times that, just my opinion.
I've written several e-mails to John at Flicksmart and he is great to deal with! I'm really impressed with their service.

For the most part flicksmart has been good, but it seems like they take a long time to get new DVDs in, I'm hoping they get My Plaything Jenna 2 in or Flesh Hunter 4.

Unless I'm mistaken you posted as "Digger" before (Am I right?) and I think what crossed the line was pretending to be a customer just saying his view on things. You could have said, "I work for redhotflix and they have what you want etc." I don't know if the Mods would allow that or not, but at least you wouldn't be misleading.
