| SUCKER4NICETITS Member MY FUTURE WIFE MADISON IVY 810 Posts 5/07 | I just joined Payones. I am able to download a lot of great stuff, but cannot get it to CDs or DVDs or USB sticks.I prefer to watch on the much larger screen of my TV. When I send the scene to my CDs or USB, it is not playable on either my DVD player or my TV which has a USB port. The CDs I am using are CD-R format, which I have downloaded to previously. My Blu-Ray DVD player is also less than a year old. Can anyone help? (Payones refuses to provide support). Thanks in advance. Edited by - SUCKER4NICETITS on Aug 14 2011 [Link] |

Also, you likely need something that will read individual files (like one of the many media players do): Do You Dedicate External Hard Drives To Porn? New WD TV After connecting a media player to your TV, all you would do is plug-in a USB flash drive and/or USB cable from an external hard-drive and watch your files. Absolutely no need to create and burn CDs and DVDs! |

Programs like Nero can help you burn your downloaded videos to a DVD. Please visit All Streaming Media or CNet for lists of additional programs." Does the fact that they mention All Steaming Media mean I need something to record streaming videos? What would that be? |

Once you download the files to your hard-drive, the easiest way to create a playable DVD movie is to use "Nero Recode" (one of the Nero programs that comes with the Nero suite). You would then import the files into Nero Recode in the order in which you want them to play. You can trim the start and stop points to suit your personal needs. If you want to create a fancier DVD movie, with menus, chapter-stops, space between scenes, etc., you would use "NeroVision Express" (again, one of the Nero programs that comes with the Nero suite). If your downloading entire movies, not just individual scenes, the process still works substantially the same way. |

Also, what different resolutions and formats are they offering? This really is easy to do, once we know what you're dealing with, and someone explains it to you :) (Which I see as just fine, as PayOnes has informed you that you can do this and their downloads are DRM free.) My original convert to MPEG/MPEG-II format suggestion was primarily made due to compatibility concerns. |

Be sure to specify the "frame size" as 64 hex 480 (or choose "original" of you are unsure). When you import the original file into AVC, it will typically show you what the frame size/resolution is. Trying to choose a larger size will not give you any better resolution. |

If you burn multiple sessions, your computer will see each one as a separate disk (a pain in the ass), and your DVD player(s) may only be able to see one session (or nothing at all). Maybe a CD-R if all you want is one or two scenes? If I remember correctly, a video movie burned to a CD will have its resolution reduced. I don't mean due to the smaller capacity of the CD (although that can be a factor also). Rather, I think it's a formatting issue. Now, if all your doing is copying the raw file (i.e. using the disks as storage, not as a disk formatted into video format), it doesn't matter what kind of media is used, as long as its capacity is large enough to hold the file(s). You can burn 4.35 GB onto a DVD formatted to be a DVD video. So, don't be in a rush to burn every single file onto a DVD until you have enough to fill it up. Also, make a backup of your files before you remove them from your hard-drive. I always burn at least two DVDs: One as a simple archive of the original files. The second formatted as the actual DVD video to watch. If you're going to get serious about this, get yourself an external hard-drive (i.e. dedicated to your porn collection only) to store copies of the original files on, as well. |

Alternately, consider buying something like a [ invalid url ] (currently about $55 after a rebate) and using it to play the .wmv files. |
| Goldstein All-Star Member "You have sacrificed nothing and no one." 3689 Posts 8/10 | Media players are the way to go. And, most of them will play almost every file type. I watch almost nothing from the original DVDs anymore. Instead, I "harvest" the scenes from the DVDs, copy them to my porn hard-drives and watch them on TV using my WD media player. Although WMV files will play, they are kind of clunky. I've found using Any Video Converter to convert them into MPEG-II makes them more compatible and they play easier. Also, Nero has a lot of trouble with making DVD video movies from WMV files, so the conversion to MPEG-II makes it possible for me to create and burn DVD video movies when I want to. Slightly OT... Since I am a perv, I can get a bit of a thrill playing porn audio in my car. I use AVC to extract the audio from video files as an MP3 file, then use Audacity (free) to edit the audio and save them as .wav files. Then I use Nero to burn the audio CDs. It's amazing how listening to just the porn audio can stimulate mental images of beloved scenes |
