They've been pretty damn effective in killing a bunch of people and locking a lot of perfectly harmless people up for no reason.

I like the idea of keeping out girls that should never have gotten into porn because of their immaturity or addiction. But it just becomes impossible to enforce. I mean, I wouldn't smoke pot, but if a porn stars wants to do that in her free time it shouldn't stop her from doing her job. When it comes to meth and the worse stuff, I know the damage it can cause, and we all know this happens in porn too. They should really be in forced treatment regardless of what kind of job they have.

I agree with drug testing, to an extent. If Spiegler thinks that any job performance issues are drug related, he will drug test us. He made that clear to me the first time he met me and it is one of the many reasons I respect him so much. It made me more comfortable getting into the industry knowing I HAVE to resist all temptation regardless of how avaliable things can be. He won't bother to test us for trees but things like cocaine and meth are understandable concerns to him. I think more people should do the same...
But at the same time there would probably be a much smaller number of girls if this was the case. I have no issue with people doing what they do in their personal lives, its not my place to pass judgment. I however agree very strongly that people in any industry need to be able to separate their use from their jobs. I also do not do girl/girl, so girls showing up under the influence and being sent home, thus ruining my shoot, doesn't effect me. It would piss me off for sure though.

It seems that we are missing a very important point, which is the simple matter of a person being able to do their job. If they can handle their act, there is not a problem.
As is the case with the whole drug / alcohol issue, the ones who can't control themselves always screw things up for everybody.
If the employees, on camera or off, can't do their jobs because drugs or alcohol has control of their lives, remove them from their jobs and try to get them help. If the horse is lead to water but still won't drink, show them the door. If they are contract employees, write such a requirement into their contract.
Drug testing in Porn? What a ludicrous concept! We have lost so many of our rights in recent years. If drug testing becomes a requirement for this industry you may as well take a shovel and bury whatever rights we have left.

I will go on record yet again and say that mandatory drug testing, (and mandatory herpes testing for that matter) for talent and crew, would kill this business dead.

^And as was pointed out the last time you said it, herpes testing wouldn't kill the industry, it would just tell people that they have herpes.
I believe what you mean to say is that if the industry insisted on having performers without herpes, then mandatory herpes testing would kill the industry.

I think the trees should be legal everywhere...i used to live down south and I got hit by a car with a oz on me ; the woman that hit me was drunk, I fucked my leg up, But I had to bounce...having over an ounce is 30 days mandatory jail time.

I'm so ignorant about drugs other than pot. Is there a test for meth?

Ditto. I remember when Charlotte and I met Mark; he explained he doesn't have to keep his girls off drugs, as he doesn't take girls who get on them.
I won't shoot a girl who's high. I've worked as talent with a couple of performers who were, and the resulting scene ends up a circus. I won't waste my time or money on a girl who's not ready to work. Personally, I believe all drugs should be legal, regulated, and taxed. That doesn't mean I'm obligated to hire someone who uses drugs (or chain smokes, has poor hygiene, awful taste in music, whatever.) I don't judge people who enjoy drugs; I just won't hire someone who isn't sober. The risk, liability, and potential for problems is just too great.

Shit, I love to smoke a bowl and fuck. It seems to me that nobody really wants to see a crackhead/meth addict naked, much less in sexual congress. Leaving flakes of tooth enamel on the cock you're sucking is a bit of a turn-off (for me, any way...there very well may be a methmouth fetishist out there).
Speaking of, I did get the opportunity to smoke some really fine herb with Flower Tucci in April. That was a brutal night. She said Olivia O'Lovely smoked a bong hit with her pussy once. Awesome.

Vivid actually drug test their contract stars I think. Dani Woodward failed so she wasn't able to become one.

^ I watched that episode of Porno Valley too! Didn't a bunch of girls also claim that Dani had a smelly pussy? That was awesome.
