HI,
I still buy porn dvds especially classic stuff,but I have noticed some of the new releases for example the new BEHIND THE GREEN DOOR I see it listed at around $39.99 USD for a 2 dvd set!!!!???? and I have noticed this with other new releases also It caught me a bit by surprise! I know there is a plenty of free stuff out there but these prices are insane! any thoughts on this? thanks

I'm not sure using the example of The New Behind the Green Door is a good one on general pricing. That release also contains the original version of the film, so some of the money that title makes I'm sure goes to Michell Bros to pay for the use of that film. Johnnie Keyes also is present in a cameo which might have cost extra money to do.

As someone who still prefers watching DVDs on TV rather than streaming movies on a desktop or laptop computer, I'd suggest checking out Adult DVD Marketplace (http://www.adultdvdmarketplace.com/). I find their prices for new DVDs to be significantly less than the average online store (certainly much better prices than brick & mortar porn stores) and their shipping costs are also lower than other online stores. Since discovering ADM for myself, I've completed 5 transactions using 5 different sellers and I've been completely satisfied everytime. They definitely seem to have the best prices for new releases, like the New Behind The Green Door, which you could buy there right now for $19 ($3.50 shipping). (I recommend only using sellers that have "EXCEPTIONALLY RELIABLE!" in green letters under their name.)
I hate to sound like a pitchman for the site, but quite frankly I'm pissed at myself for having not discovered it sooner. Hey, if there's a DVD store out there that's better, by all means, let us know!
(BTW, I'm a US customer, so I have no idea if ADM is as good with international transactions/shipping.)

I would love to use adultdvdmarketplace but their international site standard postage cost overseas is $24.00 shipping - Crazy
whereas you can get much cheaper shipping prices elsewhere in the U.S. around $9 dollars from other sites

Yeah that kind of sucks. The adultdvdmarketplace is the first place I go usually. Maybe try Excaliburfilms or Adultdvdempire.

Sorry to hear about all the problems people have had with Excalibur. Once I found ADM, I pretty much stop buying from them. They used to be good with older hard-to-find dvds. Bushdvd still sells some dvds, although their selection don't appear to be constant. Not sure about their international rates either. To be honest, I fear porn dvd sells are gonna start to drop as the years go by. The internet really has changed the game.

I really like ADM as well. For rental I have to say that Adult DVD Empire has been awesome. I dumped XrentDVD for Empire.

The sad thing is there are lots of movies on ADM I would like to order, but it's never gonna go through customs.
It wouldn't mind the 17$ initial shipping fee, when ordering 2 DVDs from Amazon.com, I already pay 9$, and the price increases steeper than at ADM...

.. all 4 of these sites provide superb customer service, fast worldwide shipping , and fairly good prices on a large selection of IN-stock items
.. most orders I place thru these sites are at my door within 2 weeks of placing the order.

^Openerotic is great, can't fault them at all. Erodvd.com is pretty good as well, both selection & price-wise. Regular sales too. Only downside is quite often particular items won't be sent due to being out of stock (makes you wonder if they ever had them in in the first place) and orders can take a while to arrive (again, due to waiting for stock to come in, presumably). Decent customer service, though.
As much as I love DVDs, I find myself gravitating more and more towards downloads these days. They're invariably cheaper and I usually burn them to disc anyway. Only downside is you don't get the box cover - not a deal breaker for me.

I'd say adultdvdporn or quickdvddelivery. $39.99 is crack prices for porn! Even for an Avatar 4 disc set with 190 hours of special features and alternate ending where they exploit the Unobtanium reserve and blow up Pandora that's too much

Wow, I didn't think Jadedvideo was still in business. Used to use them all the time before I found excalibur and then Bush.
I mostly rent. I use Bushdvd for larger orders, and Adultdvdempire for individual orders. Occasionally I'll use Xrent for their .99c deals. I love Adultdvdempire also though. They give you 3 weeks to view films when you order individually, whereas most others only give you a week.

I was liking simplyporndvd.com until they got arsey with me. Basically, you got a £5 discount for paying by cheque so I used to order as many discs as I wanted but send the orders in individually, thereby qualifying for the discount on each one. Nothing in their Ts & Cs seemed to suggest I couldn't do this. All was well for a while until one day they refused to honour a couple of my orders, accusing me - not in so many words - of bankrupting them with my ordering practices. I had it out with them but they wouldn't budge so I cancelled my account and haven't bought from them since. So, basically, for the sake of a tenner (which is what they wanted to fulfil my order) they've lost a regular customer who had, up until that point, actually spent quite a bit of money with them. Nice work, guys.
