If you browse the IAFD, and click on a movie it will often, not always, list who sells the title or how you can view it, by renting, streaming, etc. DVD Rentz is listed far more often than anyone as having access to titles. However, DVD Rentz is the name if you want to solely rent the title for just under $3 but the shipping is just as much so figure it costs $6 per title rented which is quite high. Now, DVD Rentz allows you to also join an unlimited rental plan. Yet, their name changes to 'Hit Movies' if you join the unlimited rental plan and you have access to the same titles as DVD Rentz. It is far more practical to join Hit Movies than to join DVD Rentz unless you only desire to see a single title and nothing else. These are the same people, it is just a name change. Here's the catch, while they say they have an inventory of over 100,000 films, apparently these films do not come from them but are mysteriously shipped from some other outlet/supplier. Where from? I don't know. They also will tell you that you must have at least 5 titles in your queue for every title you want to view. So, if you are on an unlimited 4 rental plan that means you must have at least 20 titles in your rental queue or expect to wait some time to get a title. I've found that days pass where I don't get a single shipment despite having many movies in my queue. I also get annoyed when my shipment list shows titles about to be shipped as pending, and I note it in my records, only to have the title pulled from my shipping queue and they replace it with some other title which will remain for some time as "pending". There is no indication as to what title is available, no way to tell what will be shipped despite your prioritizing titles within your queue and you had better plan on adding loads of titles to your queue if you want movies to be sent on a regular basis. I do find DVD Rentz/Hit Movies has access to titles no one else carries. If you choose to sign up with them you had better be very patient. Topic Moved by - heynow on Jan 16 2010 [Link] |

What I can tell you about this company is they are slow in processing titles. I have had one title listed in my shipping queue as "pending" for over a week and then they just removed it arbitrarily and replaced it with another title in my queue. Don't plan on maximizing your titles you can view over a month of rentals if you like to keep titles for only a day or two and return them. You must be patient. It is worth trying them out but make sure you add plenty of titles to your queue, at least ten titles for each number of movies of the plan you joined. So if you are on a 5 DVD unlimited rental plan, make sure to add 50 titles, get the picture. Also, if you choose to cancel with them it can be somewhat of a pain. They require at least 5 business days notice prior to your renewal date and told me that I must make sure all titles are returned before my renewal date. So doing the MATH, that means during a month I want to cancel, I must plan on cutting my viewable titles in half due to their inflexible cancellation policy. They are only shooting themselves in their foot with this approach. As for BushDVD, I rate these guys as the very best out there overall. I've rented over a thousand titles from them over the years and never had a problem with them. Their DVDs are thicker than most companies, never come cracked, and they offer the best customer service. Since their fire and their inventory being destroyed, I noticed that a much higher number of titles are listed as being "Long Wait". In the past "Long Wait" was equivalent to "we will never get it in stock". I don't know what will come of this but thus far since they re-opened service, they seem to be in a big hole and not able to make titles available anywhere close to the past service they provided. It is understandable as they had a fire and recovered in just one month so probably best to give them time. Hope this stuff helps.
