3 months later, I am still waiting!
On their site it shows The Academy in stock, but not DT2 This is by far the WORST service I have ever had from any US supplier - how can it take 3 months to get a PRIVATE title in stock!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have e-mailed them a few times and here is their stock answer;

You can view this information by logging into your account. I have asked our purchaser about this title and he says that it is on order, but he doesn’t have any other information as to when we will get it. I agree that three months is a long time, but I don’t think it is necessarily the fault of the store. It seems to be more of a problem with the manufacturer/producer of the DVD – in this case Private – in getting the DVD’s produced and distributed. I have heard that some of the companies that actually produce the DVD from the masters have quite a backlog on their books. Perhaps Tricia Devereaux can give more information on that.As far as Adult DVD Empire (ADE) is concerned, I usually check my order after I have submitted it. Several times when an item that showed ‘in-stock’ when I placed the order came back on the order confirmation as ‘on-order’. With ADE you have the capability to adjust and remove items from your order. When I removed the items, then my order usually got shipped out the same day. I personally like ADE, and after any order adjustments I have been very happy with their service. Hope you can get it resolved.

As far as Adult DVD Empire (ADE) is concerned, I usually check my order after I have submitted it. Several times when an item that showed ‘in-stock’ when I placed the order came back on the order confirmation as ‘on-order’... I've had that happen a few times, but a couple of times on the next day I get a shipped confirmation. I've never cancelled an item from my orders, but I did have to wait about a week or two for one title. I usually order my DVDs at night, around 9pm, so that when I check my email the next afternoon, I see that it has shipped. I'm sure that ADE will do whatever they can to resolve this. I've returned defective DVDs to ADE a few times, for an exchange, with no problems.

zorro-I'm very sorry about the 3 month delay, and I asuure you, BIGmike is right, we will do whatever we can to resolve this issue. I'm at home right now, so I cant solve your problem immiedately, but please send an email to our customer service dept. referencing this thread and my name (JT Smith) and we'll take care of it as soon as possible. this is not the usual for the Empire . sometimes this happens when we have huge sales like the private sale. the studio has a limited amount of "Sale stock" on the tiltes they offer to retailers/distributors. Once that stock is depleted, they have to reprint some of the titles DVDs to fill reorders. JT Adult DVD Empire

You guys do a good job, and it is certainly nice to see that someone from ADE reads this forum, is interested, and responds. DenverDon... There are a few others from ADE who post here. It is always great that a store will take the time to respond to questions and give updates. I was told while pursuing a project of my own that the minimum run for a DVD stamping is commonly set at 2000 discs. Because of the costs involved, it might be that a production company waits until a certain number of discs are prebooked before placing an order for a second run.~ GaySatyr [Link] |

Okay, after 3 months, 4 e-mails, I finally get this;
We have just been informed by our distributors
that the title 'Dangerous Things 2' is no
longer available.
It has been removed from your order. The remainder
of your order will be processed normally. We apologize

JUST CHECKED MY STATUS - THE OTHER TITLE IS NOW ON BACK ORDER, EVEN THOUGH IT WAS IN STOCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
3 months wait to be told this - pretty pathetic really - certainly would not use them again. I would at least expected to have been offered an alternative, given the time I have waited - but no, just the above reply. Oh well, back to good old Adultdvdnow and ERO. zorro -i was in the midst of typing you an email, to explain what happened and solve your problem, when I read your post. I've had the entire order cancelled as you requested. Sorry to lose you as a customer, but dangerous things 2 is just not available anywhere. I even checked with some of our competitors, and no one seems to have that title. I took the title off the site temporarily to prevent this from happening again, and the email you recieved ia an automated email that gets sent out to customers that are waiting for a tilte that we take of the site.
