Rod Member 908 Posts 8/10	Posted - Nov 8 2010 : 9:33PM When I've needed to edit DVD footage, I used HandBrake (open source) to convert the DVD to MP4 and then edit it. You can either leave it as an MP4 or convert it back to DVD. [Link]

Click to expand what i do is copy the biggest VOB files then rename the extensions to .avi then add them to my software, when converting, some image quality is lost (although it is barely noticeable) also, it is time consuming, that 1 hour or so using handbrake to convert videos versus 3-4 minutes of copying over the VOB files [Link]
