My girlfriend and I are looking for some new sex toys to play with, and we've seen these kinds of toys in some on-line catalogues.

We're not into S&M, although we mess around with some light D/S role-playing sometimes. We're both pretty uninhibited, willing to try almost anything that's fun for both of us. Mostly, we're just looking for some novel, pleaurable sensations to share.

So has anybody here ever played with these kinds of toys. If you have, what are they like and did you enjoy them?

Any recommendations as to brands and accessories would be great, too.

Thanks!

I've tried them.

I enjoyed the dildo types that caused a strong contraction in the muscles, but I did not like any of the pad types that caused a shock or buzz to the labia or clit (or nipples). I did not experience any stimulation when my male partner used the cockring attachments other than the lead screws occasionally touching my labia and shocking me painfully. He felt the cockring was uncomfortable to wear and did not stimulate him electrically at all. We did not try the urethra catheter at all, on either of us.

Neither of us experienced orgasm due to the E-stim products, although I felt that my orgasm following use of the dildo was enhanced.

We used Folsom products.

There is this guide for Folsom products, they want about 5-10 $ for it. All links to the pdf file for a free download are not accessible anymore.
guide

When you look at both homepages they look the same and have the same addresses.
But what I found strange that were the price differences of over 100$ for an item. (watch out)

I have no experience in this type of stuff and my physics skills are pretty bad.
I once read a good site about toys, but it was a German site. maybe it helps a bit

There are some things somebody should avoid to do, like applying it to the head or creating a flow from one arm to the other(heart problems).
And quality can vary very much, and I don't know how good the laws for certification in the US are.
For example, from 2006 on even the Hitachi Magic Wand is not allowed in the EU...

Getting as much information before buying is a good thing.

All reputable electronics in the U.S. are independently certified by Underwriters Laboratory. I am positive that the Hitachi Magic Wand is UL certified because otherwise no major retailers would carry it.

I have never heard of anyone being hurt by a Hitachi Magic Wand in the U.S. They would be recalled if they were dangerous.

Regarding e-stim toys, no, I have never played with them. The idea really creeps me out.

I think it's this CE mark thing .link

I don't know why they made it or how easily the CE can be acquired.

Additionally there is a new law for electronic-waste, and manufactures have to take old products.

I don't know what the folks in Brussels are thinking....

The "Violet Wand" is the bomb. I have plans on buying one, SOON. I watched a girl BUG out with this thing shocking the hell out of her clit... My X tried it on me, at the base of my spine... wow. I was literally brought to my knees. Great fun. Pricey tho... and DONT use it above the waist, I guess thats so you dont get a heart attack... I am curios about those TENS devices as well... have not had a chance to play w/ one of those.

I don't mean to creep anybody out, for sure.

Sorry, Ivory. :(

My gf read this review at blowfish.com from a reviewer who said they weren't into S/M but thought this defiantely was a great sextoy anyway. That's what got us curious.

They don't have a Violet Wand. What's that?

Ivory, thanks. :)

YogaDame, thanks for the link to the Violet Wand 101.

Have you ever used one? What's it like? The link makes it sound like a serious pain toy and we're not looking for that really.

My gf thought the Blowfish one called the Electrosex power box and the attachments sounded like a high-tech vibrator. But it's a lot of money so we wouldn't buy it unless we heard it was fun. But I think I might be a little embarrassed to call these places like Blowfish or Stockroom and ask questions.

Would they really tell you it wasn't fun if you asked or would they just say it was great anyway.

I've never tried a violet wand. They're pricey, and I'm not sure I'd like the sensation.

They do look very cool when used in porn, however.

I also haven't used an Electrosex power box, either, but I have shopped for other toys at Blowfish many times. My most favorite toy of all time, in fact, is Blowfish's signature stainless steel butt plug. They are among the best online vendors in screening toys for quality. I've only been disappointed once, at that was my fault, for thinking I was more of a size queen than I actually am.

Well I want to report back to you guys about the e-stim toys. We took the plunge and bought the Erostek portable power box and two of anal/vag plugs. They were pricey and it’ll set back our toy budget for along time but worth it as I'm going to explain. Their are a lot of other attachments but we can't afford them yet.

Anyway when you use them right their like a really intense but good feeling vibrator. They also get your vag and ass muscles to contract on their own so you have a hands free fucking toy fuck.

One power box can control two pleasure plugs because their are separate A and B power channels with different control knobs for each one. So my gf and I can lie in bed together watching a video or talking dirty or whatever and each of us can tune our own toy to the best power level and get off together.

The power box also has different programs like wave, thrust, climb, pulse but their is only one knob for those. Anway a little kinky maybe but fun and safe.
The power box runs on a 9 volt battery so theirs no risk of getting hurt. They say to keep safe you don’t do e-stim above the waist so you don’t do anything that could fuck up your heart.

Like I said its a really fun toy and not freaky at all just high tech. My gf has become kind of a freak about the toy and maybe I've put the usefulness of my dick at risk. lol

Thanks Ivory. :)

When my gf read my last post she wanted me to add a couple of things.

One of the things she likes is that she can put one electro-plug in her pussy and one in her ass and get a hands free DP. She can close her eyes and fantasize about the scene. I'd join in for half the job but it gets a little complicated moving around with the wires and all. Better for me than having to deal with another guy in the room to get her off that way.

She told me that the toy doesn't put me out of business because she needs someone to hug and kiss her after she cums. ;) She's got a good sense of humor.

At the risk of embarrassing myself with personal disclosures, I have to admit that this thread really intrigued me. My married sex-life is okay to good (it varies widely), but it's definitely a little too "vanilla" for my taste. For that reason, to the extent possible recently I’ve taken to masturbatory self-experimentation with some slightly more exotic erotic endeavors. I decided to check this one out.

If any subject interests me, I tend to research it exhaustively; given the obvious dangers inherent in exposing oneself to electricity, I tried to be thorough in light of the amount of information available (which isn’t much). However, the links that de25ge and YogaDame provided were helpful starting points, and there is material to be found on the internet. Among other sites, I looked at Unc’s E-Stim and E-Play Website.

I also called Blowfish.com, Stockroom.com, and eXtremeRestraints.com (all of them reputable sex toy e-tailers) and spoke to their salespeople.

The toy buyer at Blowfish.com is an extremely nice and knowledgeable woman, and she was more than happy to share with me (in a general way) her personal experiences with and takes on the various electro-sex toys that they carry.

The people at Stockroom.com are similarly nice, but less knowledgeable. However, their selection of power boxes, toys, and accessories (which come from a number of different manufacturers) is much larger than Blowfish’s.

The salespeople at eXtremeRestraints.com are at about the same level of helpfulness as the Stockroom folks; their selection of e-stim gear is somewhere in between that of Stockroom and Blowfish.

Although the Eros-Tek Portable E-Stim Unit (I think it's the one that toyguy purchased) is probably the best of the lot, I opted for a relatively less pricey (but far from inexpensive) alternative -- the Deluxe Digital Electrosex Power Box from Rimba. I purchased it from XtremeRestraints.com (the lowest prices) along with a set of Electrosex Penis Bands (included with the power-box), an Electric Butt Bulb (which was a separate purchase), and a tube of Electrode Gel (also sold separately).

That toy combo certainly set me back a lot of bucks, but it was more than worth it. Although these toys can obviously be used for BDSM’y pain/pleasure in Dom-Sub scenarios, at the right power-box settings they generate intense levels of simple masturbatory pleasure.

There are unisex attachments, attachments designed specifically for women, and attachments designed specifically for men. The particular power box that I bought runs on three AAA batteries, so you can’t get electrocuted. However, I wouldn’t mess around with any of these toys above the waist, because electricity passing through the chest cavity could cause a heart attack; I don’t even want to think about what might happen if someone tried them above the neck.

As toyguy said -- kinky (I suppose), but these toys have so far given me quite a sexual . . . uh . . . charge when used in the right way.

(Note: I can’t speak from either experience or research about the Violet Wand, which seems to be solely a BDSM toy. It apparently works through static electricity and is clearly a whole different kettle of fish.)

<typos -- can you blame me?>

Thanks, YogaDame. My pleasure to post it.

I realize that I didn't discuss the specific sensations because toyguy more or less nailed them for me. The two attachments I bought provided strong internal vibrations (in my ass and inside my cock) -- very different sensations from those provided by a vibrator (not the least of which because I can't get a vibrator inside my cock).

Like toyguy's Eros-tek power box, the Deluxe Rimba power box has two channels, which will power two bi-polar electrodes/toys (for example, the two that I have). All the Rimba attachments that I've seen are bi-polar.

Many of the attachments for the other power boxes are unipolar, for which you need two attachments per channel to complete a circuit, or four unipolar attachments to generate sensations similar to those created by two bi-polar Rimba attachments.

The Rimba power box isn't designed to work with non-Rimba attachments; frankly, I doubt it has enough juice to power four unipolar electrodes. With available adaptors, on the other hand, I think the bi-polar Rimba attachments would work just fine with the other power boxes.

Hands-free solo sex . . . woo hoo!!!

Thanks for posting all the info Bob. My gf likes the electro toys more than I do but she;s just shy and does'nt like to post. Maybe you can tell your wife about this thread and you can talk her into goofing around with it with you sometime.

Nice suggestion, though.

Thought I would bump this to see if anyone else besides me is using Electro-Sex and E-Stim toys to have amazing hands-free, multiple orgasm? As some have said above, although most associate these kind of toys with masochism, I am not into pain in the least bit and use them for pleasure... the most intense, blissful pleasure I've ever felt when you're using it to ride the crest of the "point of no return" while watching your favorite porn star.

Dear friends, I'm Uranya, a creative designer from Italy.
I want to share with you my story:
It was in 2009 that I have tried a TENS machine as a device to deliver sexual pleasure... it happened casually, but it was a GREAT discovery! So much stimulation, WOW! Never felt a similar sex power!
So I bought a personal (and portable) TENS device, but I've found that these devices (also for muscolar training) have very few wave patterns. Unsatisfied!
Doing some web research I have found an alternative way: using a stereo amplifier, and I have tried it. Results: It is AWESOME! Because you can create almost unlimited patterns of stimulation, it is very customizable and if you want you can play ANY MUSIC as an electric sexual stimulator! ANY, just connect the amplifier to a set of electrodes, WOW! The pleasure I have felt have never been reached by other ways.
I have created a tutorial for how to setup an astonishing electrosex device using your own PC, and I have published it on my site.
Are you interested to it?
If yes please comment here and I will post the link.
Feel free to share, and enjoy! (:
