They haven't had an update to the site in over 2 months now. I don't see any new DVD's in the new releases section. Just seems like their trying to cash in on their back catalog and refuse to deliver anything new. Even their new lineup of directors have moved on to other companies. [Link]

I know Patrick Collins sold it because he was going through a nasty divorce. The new owners, whoever they are, didn't get along with Mason and William H.? So they left along with most of the other Elegant directors. New directors were brought on, but now it seems they mostly just release compilations. Anything wrong with that sketchy account? Does someone have a link to an article that explains things more comprehensively? [Link]

This is the last article I've seen regarding Elegant Angel's current predicament: Elegant Angel Amicably Parts Ways with Kennedy, Guzman. Quite frankly, it doesn't matter to me whether or not Elegant makes a comeback. I mean, what got me into them in the first place was the work of Mason, and now that she's got her own studio (HardX) and is producing more movies than ever before, what happens to Elegant just doesn't seem important to me. (Oh by the way, not only does HardX have Mason, but they also have another Elegant alum, William H., now.) [Link]

I think she has put out some amazing movies since she started in porn 6 years ago but frankly I don't see the point in signing a six year veteran to any kind of contract unless it involves her doing something she has never done before. This is clearly not the case with Jada has she has pretty much everything legal in porn. She has 242 titles to her name on IAFD. 80 of those are anal, 13 are dp's and she has done 59 interracial movies. She is a prolific performer who has nothing to prove but in return also has nothing new to offer. If you are a newbie just starting in porn and you don't know who to watch for than maybe you will want to check a Jada movie produced by Archangel but that's about it. Four of them rooms are filled and one of the spaces contain only DVD from Elegant Angel. In fact there is not place for any more there now. Whereas one of the room holds both Anabolic and Diabolic, and another is jammed up with Combat Zone. The last not mentioned has Third Degree and Zero Tolerance. Those companies has more places to creep into. So these are up for extension. But for Elegant Angel it's a perfect moment for me to call it a day. I'm awaiting a shipment with one more though. Think it's time to put two pieces out of the same series in one then, with papercovers stuffed onto each other. By the way Combat Zone had two new releases coming over the other day; Look Dad I'm in Porn and last volume of Big Dick Teen Junkies, both great, but also with severe technical issues. In the BTS segment tin one of those he DVD player just made a boff! noise and stopped the playing like it had a stroke or something. All my old Combat Zone stuff never acted this way. I still maintain that signing a six year veteran with such a prolific porn career makes absolutely no business sense since your typical contract usually involves paying a performer a certain amount of money to either only shoot for that studio or only shoot certain types of scenes for that studio. I have already established that Jada has shot every type of scene multiple times so it's no longer possible for a studio to have any kind of exclusive scene from her. Now if as you state Jada is still super popular and in high demand than she would have to ask for a sizeable amount of money to sign a contract where she only appears in one studios movies as she would lose income from not shooting with the other studios. Now if you can give me some arguments that show that signing Jada to a contract is a great business decision than I welcome your post. [Link]

I was a liitle bit crestfallen by the news that she was signing an exclusive contract with ArchAngel because it meant there would be no new scenes forthcoming from companies like HardX or JJV. That being said, ArchAngel locked up my business for the rest of the year with that move and judging by her popularity on this forum I'm not alone. She has great tits, a pretty face, a great body, is nasty as all get out, and of course, her legendary ass. A Jada scene made by a competent director is appointment viewing for me. When a performer is that big of a draw it makes sense for a studio to sign them to an exclusive contract. Look at Asa Akira and Wicked. Asa has done every type of scene under the sun and arguably her new material for Wicked will be tamer than her gonzo stuff. But Asa has legions of fans who will follow her anywhere so it made sense for Wicked to sign her. Same applies for Jada. [Link]

There goes so much into signing a girl but we have a plan for her and I'm sure you will be interested in what we will bring to the table. There aren't enough people who actually care to help a chick build her brand. That's our goal. So please think outside the box before you jump to conclusions. If you are a true fan of Jada you will support her no matter what. Click to expand I'm huge on requesting fans to recommend girls. Jada is at the top of the list every time. So why would we not try to cater to her and make her a part of something new. It's been well documented that most directors were always 50/50 on booking Jada. Once they heard of the contract most of the directors rushed to shoot her because of how popular she is. Jada is a professional and does what's required to get the job done. And truth be told she's very underrated. The only thing she's missing is a feature presence to make her a real competitor for POTY But all in all...as long as the fans want to see her we will give them what they want and there will be fan request coming soon. There's no other company that cater to the fans like we do. With me being a rookies director to the company I'm glad that I was apart of the brand over there. I'm not happy about how everything went down but I feel everything happens for a reason. There's more to the story that the fans will never know but I will not speak upon it for the respect that I have for so many people there. Elegant will forever be a part of my heart and will go down as one of the best companies to display what real porn was... Some great careers were made over there and once again I have Mick Blue to thank for making a apart of what he had going which eventually paved a way for myself to do something of my own there. There will never be another company like it. If you guys saw how much life was in that office and how many people were dedicated to the craft you would be amazed. I enjoyed a lot of great moments there at the tail end but it will go down as some of the best times I've had in a long while. Who knows..,someone will probably try to bring something back but the heart and soul of Elegant Angel is gone. Arch Angel is not owned by Elegant Angel and Patrick Collins is not affiliated with this company. But for the record we have some of the people that made Elegant important join us at AA...when one door closes another opens. I know some people think the Jada/Prince pairing is played out, but when two performers have such great chemistry together I never get tired of watching them do new scenes together. Newness is nice, but heat will always trump everything for me. Sad to hear Elegant is closing its doors, but everyone who made the company what it was has moved on to greener pastures. It's still gonna take a lot more effort to get me not to cancel the yearly subscription. I really don't want to because of the back catalog but at the moment there is not much reason to stay a member. They still need to create some buzz and turn things around fast. [Link]
