That is my take on it, since it is just an umbrella of a bigger company name now, unless they kept the people who made Elegant Angel Elegant Angel, it is now just another imprint of the new owning company.
As long as they are producing new content, and obviously they do, they are a "real company", not only a library. A library collects books, but doesn't write and publish any; if they do, they are not a library anymore, but become something different. One can certainly say that Elegant Angel is not the "real" Elegant Angel anymore. But to say that they are not a "real company", is misleading IMHO.
^Although you are technically correct that Elegant is still a company and not just a library. You are missing the point bob and flash are trying to make. If the people that produced the great porn that Elegant was known for are gone and the company is now owned by another studio than Elegant is now mostly a library of their past stuff. Any future release under the brand Elegant Angel may only be in name only. It would be like if Hyundai bought BMW and they started to mange production of any future BMW. You might buy a BMW car thinking that because it has the name on the hood it must be as good as when it was made by BMW but once you looked under the hood You just might see that the motor is all Korean, once you sat in it you would also see that it doesn't feel like a BMW. I don't know about you but it's probably been at least a year since I was interested in an Elegant Angel Title and who knows if those weren't produced a lot earlier than the release date.

I don't disagree with what makes a company bad (e.g. the people who were foundation stones of its biggest successes leaving it). I just disagree with what makes a company. The company that would not be longer BMW but "BMW" would still be a company prducing cars. Bad cars, fake cars, whatever. So it is a bad company. But it is a company, a producer of a product. And the guy without powers under the Spidey suit will still try to fight crime. He will get killed very soon by enemies (in our case: by the competitors on the market & the customers deciding against them), of course. But he tried. ;)
^I don't want to pick on you but I think you are missing the point. I don't know if both bob and flash meant to say the same thing as I did but let me see if I can clarify my point of view. The Elegant Angel that now belongs to Exquisite is no longer a company producing porn. All it is now is a better know brand name than exquisite. Any and all movies released under the Elegant Angel brand will not be anything like the ones when it was still owned by Patrick Collins. Yes the guy under the Spidey will try to fight crime but no one will ever know that he did because he will crash to his death the moment he jumps off a building and tries to shoot his web. Spiderman is Spiderman not because he chooses to fight crime but because he uses his superpowers to do so. Elegant Angel was the superpower that it was because the people making their movies had the power to do so. Now all you have is some schmuck with a Spidey outfit who will crash to his death the moment he jumps

Regardless of this technical side, the important thing for me is that they are well and truly back and shooting their flagship series again with many of the top girls in the biz. Cuties 8 has Aidra Fox and scorching newbies Karissa Kane and Aria Alexander, Massive Asses 8 has got [redacted by legal demand] so far, and the latest Big Wet Tits has Peta Jensen, Danica Dillon, and Valentina Nappi. As long as they keep up this kind if stellar casting, everything else is secondary to me .
^If I'm reading you correctly than you don't really care what the finish product looks like as long as the box cover says Elegant Angel, Cuties or Big Wet Tits and stars some of your favorite performers. If that is the case than you are a less demanding person than me. I actually care more about who made the movie than who owns the right to it. I wish you the best of luck because I can't help but feel that you will be one seriously pissed off person the moment you see the finish product from the new Elegant studio.

^ Until I have actually seen the movies, then I'm holding back on passing judgment based purely on the assumption that the movies will be of lesser quality because of the restructure. I've not seen any solid evidence to suggest that I should not be as excited about these releases as their previous ones so as far as I'm concerned it's innocent until proven guilty.
I don't want to harp on this but you might want to read your post again because nowhere do you say that you are giving them a chance to see if their new stuff is as good as the old stuff. All you care is that they are shooting again and the cast. Now you are saying that you will wait until you see the product to make a judgement. That's very different than what you wrote. I don't think you would have said the same thing a year ago if we were talking about an Elegant title and that's why I wrote what I did in reply to your original post.

Their first Bonnie Rotten-directed release streets today, Ink'd Squirt, but the only trailer for it I can find is a crappy low quality version on Adult DVD Empire. Their blog hasn't had an update since September and the trailer still isn't available on the members' site.
Today the trailer is available but the blog still is old. I hope that Bonnie Rotten will bring some evil angel nastyness to elegant angel. Less white big rooms with only one couch in it
regardless of the great films EA put out, i would very much miss the EA podcast- loves listening to roy and potter- the girls really seemed to open up to them and they are funny as fuck!
Well things have gotten better for Elegant Angel. They released quite a few titles in the last couple of months. Nothing looks to be must see material but it's nice to see that they have a pulse. Looks like there will be a new Starlet, Performer and MILF movies coming soon.
I know this is an old topic, but are they closing the website? Hasn't been updated in forever. Great back catalog, of course. But it sucks nothing new shows up on the site anymore
^There should be new stuff coming this week. At least that's what they said when I contacted their customer support last weekend. They are waaaay behind the DVD releases tho.

The problems with Elegant Angel, specifically, their membership site, are a prime example of why you shouldn't purchase year-long memberships to any site.

It's dependent on pricing. I'm sure many aren't aware of coupon sites like idealgasm (or don't trust them) and join directly at the website, in which case the costs for a whole year up front are often about the same as what it would cost for just 3 or 4 months at regular subscription rates. At that point if you like the site it's probably worth taking the chance at $100 up front for the whole year instead of potentially ending up paying $360 in monthly installments for the same year.
Until the recent long stretch without any new updates I've been quite pleased with my year-long membership to EAs site. Having said that, with the recent lack of new stuff (without any reason why) and with EA using James Deen again I doubt I'll re-new my membership.

Not only am I aware of iDealgasm, but I've used it for months now (wish I had discovered sooner). Typically, at least for the sites I've purchased memberships for using their discounts, they only offer discounted monthly memberships (i.e. $9.95 for one month). Sometimes the recurring price is the same as the initial signup price, but other times the recurring price reverts back to the full membership price. Regardless, I've never believed in spending over $30 in a single membership purchase, whether it's for 3 months or an entire year. Even my favorite sites (like HardX, Tushy and Blacked) go through "dry spells" where they might go a couple weeks without putting out anything that wows me. I've always preferred to "rotate" through my favorite sites from month to month; the term I like to use is "my porn rotation." (Elegant Angel fell out of my porn rotation a while ago.)
