Hi
When i click on the little icon to email people on the forum it very often does not work. The problem is that there is no button appearing that allows me to send a message, instead there is a whole lot of (seemingly) random characters - sometimes in the message box and sometimes below it.
Sometimes it just says html in the message box (with no button to see).
Sometimes it works just fine too...but not very often...
Anybody know why this keeps happening?

Some people don't have forum email enabled.

Sure, but that doesn't seem to be it. When people don't have email enabled I get a message telling me just that if i click on the email icon.
The people that I am attempting to contact are definitely people who have enabled their email, as they have asked me to email them...

Hi
Yes, I received that message. Not sure what you were trying to test there?

Hmm. I switched to using Firefox and the problem has gone. So that seems to answer that...

What browser were you using before switching to firefox?
Usually when there's gibberish characters on the page it's a problem with the HTTP compression software we use not recognizing your browser.

Sorry Drew
When somebody replies to a post that I have posted in, I get no emails regarding that someone has replied to a thread
Cheers

It is no longer automatic.
To get email notifications of new posts to any thread, you have to tell it that you want them. You can do it either before or after you post - the option to tic it on while composing your post is not there anymore.
Look for "Subscribe to Topic" at both the top and bottom of this page. Give it a whirl - click it.
