Just checked email - nothing new. Then came here, clicked on Active Topics and browsed through new posts.

Realized that there were a few new posts in threads that I've subscribed to, using the 'Check here to be notified by email whenever someone replies to your topic.'

Anybody else notice it not working today?

I think it was working yesterday.
I'm sure I got email notifications two days ago.

I do notice it seems to be turned off sometimes on Sundays - probably a server maintenance window. Usually works during the weekdays and Saturdays though. I haven't noticed any interruptions lately.

We don't turn it off. I'll check to see if the queue is clogged.

Are you checking a @my.adultdvdtalk.com email address or should I just be investigating a problem with the sending of emails to other domains?

There's nothing waiting in the delivery queue and no indication that the service had stopped or hung.

To other domains.
The email notifications are set up to send to another email address of mine, not to @my.adultdvdtalk.com .

But - - now that you mention it. I went ahead and tested my email account here. It is set up to automatically forward all incoming to another email address.

Fwiw:
Sent a test email to my email account here. Waited a while, and when it did not appear by being forwarded on through, sent another. And a third. Don't know how often the forward function happens on your end, so I spaced the three emails out over a half hour.
That was over an hour ago - none have appeared yet.
Logged in to email account here, just to check to see if they were just sitting in the In box. Not there.

I hope that info helps.

Edited to add: Checked to see if any of the three test emails bounced back. They have not.

I've also emailed both of your accounts from two email addressed. I haven't received undeliverable responses yet. I emailed your @my.adultdvdtalk.com one and the other one associated with your forum profile.

I also set up my test @my.adultdvdtalk.com account to be sure the forwarding is working. When forwarding is enabled on the @my.adt account the emails will not appear in the @my.adt in box. They are automatically relayed to the other address. So if there's a problem with your email address associated with your forum profile the emails will drop. The undeliverables won't route back through the relay mechanism.

BTW, all sending/receiving/forwarding is done at least once every two minutes on the @my.adt mail service.

I see a variety of notifications and emails today. Apparently the flow has resumed. :)
Interestingly the first new email in my box, was the one from you at Sat, 22 Apr 2006 21:57:59. Looks like you sent it right from the thread.

The second email from you appears to me to have come straight to my box - I suppose that is the one that first went to my my.adultdvdtalk.com address, then forwarded. It was at Sat, 22 Apr 2006 22:12:51 .

Fwiw, here is something strange. The email notifications, etc., that came into my box are not in chronological order as they usually are. Some emails from the 20th and 21st appear after those dated the 22nd. There were a couple dozen or so, and they were all jumbled like that.

Even between your two emails, it happened. There is email
Sat, 22 Apr 2006 13:48:05 in between your two. There were several in between actually - some dated back to the the 21st!

Weird.

ok. Thanks.
I noticed that only one of the three test messages that I sent has appeared. Looks like the other two went into the bit bucket somewhere.

Thank you for taking your time to look into it from your end. Since no one else has commented, it looks like whatever was happening, was not happening on your end.

Possibly the service (the non-ADT one) that I use for email was having heartburn?
From here, when I first posted, all I could tell was that new incoming had ceased.

We'll probably never know exactly what happened, but thanks again for doing what you could from your end.

Thanks.

Next time I test something, now I know how long to wait. :)
