I trust you are aware of the fact that your browser downloads all the images from any page you visit as separate temp files. The last time I looked into this, most programs used the standard temp structure set up by Windows, so unless you've verified that you're redirecting all internet files to one of your encrypted areas don't bet on being 'clean.'

Yes, the temp area is often referred to as the cache. If you never see files in there it is because they do get erased. However, bear in mind that erasing a file simply consists of changing one bit in the file system, rather than zeroing out all the bits on the hard drive. If somebody really wants to see what you've been up to simply erasing a file isn't going to prevent them from finding it.
In other words, your setup will save you from a casual perusal of your system by the IT kid at the corner PC store, and possibly even a cursory professional perusal, but stopping an expert who has the time, equipment and incentive is a whole other ball game.

This thread prompted me to do more research into TrueCrypt. I had heard and read about it for quite some time, but hadn't actually played with it. A few days ago, I installed it on a PC and Mac and configured and played with both. Yesterday I set it up for a friend on his computer and he loves it.
So thanks for taking the time to talk about your setup.

Hmmmmm... What's the point in all of this ? Is porn illegal where you live ? If not, who matters and where the problem really is ? I don't understand what you all have in mind to care so much and think of so sophisticated ways protecting something that doesn't worth it...
