I think a while ago EroDVD were also sending their DVDs to the UK with the boxes, but some people complained about customs seizure, so EroDVD changed their shipping method to the UK. Now their shipping to the UK works like the one DVD-Advantage is providing, just with the difference that EroDVD doesn't charge $30. [Link] |
| charlie Member uk 450 Posts 4/00 | Posted - Jun 13 2001 : 9:41AM You are correct, UK Customs have been inspecting a lot of packages from the EU lately and those found to contain material outside their guidlines are confiscated ie. pissing, fisting, animals etc. All other porn is OK so I don't ask to have the covers shipped separately. My order containing fisting material was shipped using this new method, which was lucky because Customs inspected the package containing the empty boxes. They must have thought they had hit the jackpot until they opened up the cases to find them empty. [Link] |

(maybe they hope to find the discs in the box when they come round your house, to legally steal your goods) I find it hard to understand why the UK feels it needs to impose "moral" restrictions upon its subjects. I agree we all have a responsibility to protect minors form adult content and abuse, but the act of fisting and pissing contained on dvds from DBM OR MMV, are performed by adults for adults. Do the "moral" guardians in the UK think that we may go on a fisting & pissing rampage? Jokes aside- I feel it is clearly an abuse of our Human Rights to be subjected to legalized theft by Customs and this Law needs to be fought and changed. NOTE: in a recent news report it was found that people in the UK are more likely to suffer physical abuse at the hands of others, than any other Westernized Country (inc the US).
