When are they gonna get their site sorted out ?. There's a stack of films I would be interesting in buying if it wasnt for the shoddy web design, and they still havent got a secure server. How can anyone run an internet business without even bothering to use a secure server ?. Come on ero, get it sorted, your losing business !.
Ive just ordered from these guys and my dvd is on its way, i did use there website to place my order but i left off 2 digits from my credit card number, looking back it would have been better to leave off 4 digits. Anyway i placed my order then emailed them with my details and sent them the missing digits...
If you leave off 4 digits of your credit card the combination to get the correct number could be 9999 tries (if my maths are correct either way its still a long process) and i dont think some credit card theif could be bothered.
I do think that this is a safe enough way... as with all websites its easy enough for hackers to get into websites and nick everyones details, as with when you go into a store, theres nothing to shop the person behind the till writing down your details and using on here.
Thanks for the help, but if you send your details that way, then all your really doing is sending your details in 2 seprate emails. ISP's have easy access to emails so this isnt a particuly safe way to do business. To be honest though, there's no excuse for not offering a secure server if they want to be taken seriously, especially as their website quotes "order from our secure server", which is a blatent lie. Its a shame that they don't seem to be bothered about sorting it out, coz its offputting to many potential customers.
(ive already posted this if it does appear again somewhere else I apologise, i got cut off during sending)
Clubber I understand about the secure server and i think they should have one, and im sure they will do if they read about how people are put off by the idea of ordering without one. Untill they do sort it, unfortunately its your choice and 'gamble' if your order with them. Im not really that scared about using my credit card online, i wouldnt order from any old supplier though. You could always fax your order or ring them up? Ive rang up one surplier in the netherlands before who didnt take credit card orders online, and that was easy enough, they spoke really good english too, but that wasnt Erodvd.
Just to update to my previous post, my order arrived TODAY!!!! I placed my order at Ero dvd on the 26th, got an email on the 27th from Aline saying it was on its way. Today the 30th it arrived, FANTASTIC
Now that is what you call a service. It was 'sort of' well packed, very strange methods though. The DVD disc was wrapped in some cling film stuff, that together with the cover, was sellotaped in a folded peice of paper. This was then clued slightly inside the envelope and then sealed, sellotaped on the envelope flap, stamped, posted and delivered in 3 days, WOW
The only worry i had about this method, was that the DVD could of snapped if it had been jammed anywhere, for some strange reason. Ideally it should have a tough peice of cardboard inside the envelope to give it all support. Although in saying this it did arrive in perfect condition and lets not forget that we dont pay extra for postage.
A BIG thumbs up to Ero excellent service you guys, I will definately order from them again. But as weve been saying just get this secure server sorted out.. and increase the range of 'gay' titles that you stock please
I don't actually mind, as on of their shipments never arrived previously (post Sept. 11) but Ero reshipped and it arrived fine. It may be a little more inconvenient without the cases, but if it is more likely to guarantee shipments arrivals, I would easily prefer it. Especialy as the postal systems world-wide are tightening up.
