In reality, the law has never really prevented companies from taking the risks and supplying porn anyway, both before and after last year's changes. There are sites who supply both unrated and R18 stuff mail order in the UK.
Plus of course as this forum shows, many UK fans quite legally (or so it seems at present) can order their porn from abroad as long as it complies with the R18 guidelines. A quite traditional British compromise I think!
In short, if you want it, you'll have to buy it, I suspect!
