| NuTTy_BuDDy Member 608 Posts 12/00 | Now I'm not from Europe or anything. I'm actually One of those Black Guys that REALLY likes European females. But my Question is...Has anybody Found Euro Product(From Directors to Stars to Overall production) Better than Stuff you Find here in the States? I Have ...And I Think European Director's are like 234578346 Steps ahead of U.S. Directors. Don't get the Wrong Idea, I know there's good Porn here, BUT the Pure Porn hails from Europe. [Link] |

| Phadrus00 Member 22 Posts 6/01 | I have just recently started watching "Euro-Porn" and I am COMPLETELY blown away. The women are generally STUNNINGLY beautiful, the men drop MASSIVE loads of cum on them and the girls seem to totally LOVE it! I recently watched "The Club" from Private and it has some of the HOTTEST sex in it, including several cum-swapping scenes! Yes ANOTHER phine example of Euro-product. The typical American Offering seems to suffer from lack of imagination and a general "least common denominator" approach to cast and action. I think there are some notable exceptions when starlets like Stacy Valentine, or Chloe, or Jill Kelly rise above the mediocrity but they are Jems in a sea of ponderous anal shots. God bless sexy, daring women and innovative, creative directors. ok... I'm getting off the soapbox.... Someone toss me a fire-extinguiser, I expect the flames to start any minute! *grin* Phadrus00 |

| French guy Member 335 Posts 9/01 | Well dex if you are looking for pure Euro hardcore, check the sperm overdose series (available on DVD in the US). Beware it's not for the faint hearted :-) |
| dexplorer Member 442 Posts 8/01 | Actually I have heard of the sperm overdose series. How about some German porn that doesn't focus on the quantity of sperm? I'll probably get one of those out of curiousity, but quantity of sperm on a girl's face isn't something that particularly grabs me. I've always wondered that too. I wonder if Playboy has anything to do with moulding that, or whether it just picked up on something firmly there already. Also, I've heard that a lot of the reason for such large breasts among porn girls, esp. when they've been around for a while, is the pressures of the topless circuit. Many American porn starlets earn as much or sometimes quite a bit more from doing the feature dance circuits for a few weeks in between porn shoots, than they do from videos. I wonder if that's as true in Europe? For some reason there seems to be real pressure for feature dancers to have very large breasts, esp. if they no longer look teenage or very early 20's. People seem to WANT them to look semi freakish in dance clubs. |
| French guy Member 335 Posts 9/01 | pornstar careers are totally different from the US counterparts. For one, we don't have dance clubs like in the US but some girls do shows in discotheques. Many just do videos. There's no star system like in the US where the girls have their own websites or fan clubs. As for German porn, they don't have the equivalent in terms of content like in the US, mostly because they are not restrained legally as in the US so whatever your perversion, you can find fisting, uro, teens or hard SM but they are not famous for doing feature movies like Vivid or Metro cause they find that plain boring :-) |
| cykedout Member Ireland 245 Posts 8/00 | Most of you on the other side of the Atlantic only see the good stuf that Europe produces, Private and the like, where as my local videoshop has gotten a lot of Euro crap over the years. Mind you, a good percentage is excellent, and I've really appreciated being able to get it, but I'm at the mercy of the shop and have to rely on titles alone (no covers, and the tapes are copies), so I usually have to choose from what's there. With the advent of DVD, I've been able to get a lot of the stuff I've wanted (actually a lot of American stuff, I never saw) but I do like a lot of the more ethnic stuff rather than "most" American content. I like Private, Ben Dover, Dolly Buster, Maximum Perversum, Moli, Harry S. Morgan titles, etc. but a lot of these are still not (widely) available on DVD yet. That's my 2c worth, anyway..... |
| Gabriel Nine Senior Member Firecracker 1273 Posts 8/01 | Anyway, I just don't think you can really generalise too much about Euro vs American, or even generalise about companies or styles - the same basic ingredients can be hot in one director's hands, and another will turn them into a very poor movie. Look at the number of US guys shooting the numerous inferior multi-volume series who come to Europe cause they saw Evil Angel's stuff, and they get the same girls to make really inferior movies. There are also lots of cute girls from the States who defy the Blonde Stripper Stereotype. German porn is not restricted to one style either. They do seem to love a big name star a la Dolly Buster, Sarah Young and so on, but they also go for tightly themed movies on topics already mentioned. A lot of German movies, esp. from DBM, seem to have non-Germans (French, East Europeans) in the cast. What I hate is that these movies HAVE to be dubbed into German - it is the LAW - and thus lose the benefit of live sound. In the end, though perhaps by chance, most of the movies I tend to watch come from US labels but are shot in Europe. All that matters is that you get a bit of what you fancy, right? |
| spesedy Member Germany 238 Posts 8/00 | Here in Germany nearly every video-store I've been in has got a huge selection of XXX-Movies. Most are still on VHS, but there are more and more DVDs available. I actually think that the VHS-Films are more interesting at the momen since that gives many small companies the ability to produce specific niche-products while the big companies with lots of money behind them are able to produce DVDs which are more "standard-porn" vids many times. From these big companies however there are a few outstanding. @Dexplorer: For the companies I'd go with Videorama, MMV, Magma and Puaka. You might want to try the following series: Videorama: Magma: Puaka: Puaka vids are very hardcore as well. If you just look for some title to try, have a look at "Völlig durchgeknallt". But there are also countless other great films from them. Greetings, Spesedy |
| dexplorer Member 442 Posts 8/01 | One trouble with VHS ordered direct from a Euro online vendor from an American point of view is that I don't think the PAL format VHS tapes will play on American NTSC TV's. I'm not sure about this though. Anyone else? Whereas I've heard that DVD's will, if they are either no region or you've got a multi region DVD player, as I do. |
| French guy Member 335 Posts 9/01 | |
| Clubber Member 186 Posts 4/01 | As for DVDs, they will play on a multi region DVD player but again, you need a TV set that can handle the PAL format (Unless your player can convert the PAL signal to NTSC, again highly unlikely). |

| Bill All-Star Member 5334 Posts 6/00 | The second option is Diversified Video Associates . Located in New Jersey, they deal with someone who gets the American rights to many European lines (mostly that other manufacturers are afraid to touch). They get "master" versions of the tapes and convert them to NTSC. From experience, I can attest that the picture quality of these tapes are outstanding. They also have a limited selection of DVD's (also in NTSC). The negative to the second option is that you have a limited number of tapes that you can purchase, whereas if you get a worldwide VCR, you have a much larger number of options. As far as DVD is concerned, If you have an NTSC DVD player and an NTSC TV, you can NOT play a PAL DVD. There ARE a couple of Worldwide DVD players (same deal as the worldwide VCR, it will convert to whatever format you want). There are also a few TV's available in the US that can handle a PAL signal. I also believe that you can play a PAL disc on a DVD-ROM using your monitor as the display (but I'm not sure about this). If you want more info about the PAL DVD issue, so a search on PAL within the ADT forum. This has been discussed a few times and I once posted specific information about the players and TV's that have PAL capability in the US. |
| dexplorer Member 442 Posts 8/01 | Why do I say mavelously multi-talented? Well, if you'll excuse a little bragging about this little baby it will, in addition to the above: * Completely defeat macrovision copy protection, allowing VHS or SVHS tape copies to be made of any DVD, or selected scenes from a DVD AND it cost less than $180 1.5 years ago, when you could still get it. It does some of these things so well (defeat macrovision and region coding) that quite a while ago Hollywood forced the main US distributors of this previously obscure mainland Chinese brand to stop offering it with it's "secret loopholes" menu enabling those things, unfortunately. At the time it was the talk of geekdom. Circuit City was constantly sold out. They soon became VERY hard to get. There were websites devoted to how you could game your way into getting ahold of one, or into eprom flashing a new one without the "secret menu" back to the old enabled version. But get one I did, by jumping in fairly early. Just in the nick of time actually. Word REALLY snowballed on these. Though for those in the market for a DVD player, I wouldn't be surprised if there were Apex models around now that do everything but defeat the macrovision.

| Clubber Member 186 Posts 4/01 | BTW - Europe has the PAL signal as standerd but all home entertainment equipment made within the last 5 years play NTSC as well. Thats why so many people in Europe buy films from American suppliers, they don't have to worry about NTSC & PAL issues. Infact many people take for granted the fact that you can buy a dvd from any country in the world and it will play. It give's you far better choices, for example - a Region 4 (Aus) DVD might have more extra features or be cheaper than its Region 1 (USA) release. |

| spesedy Member Germany 238 Posts 8/00 | For the DVD-Rom it doesn't matter if the DVD is PAL or NTSC, so for me it's a great solution. On the other hand, I guess most standalone players available in Europe can play both standards, so maybe you could try getting one from Europe if you can't find one in the US. |
