An interesting new twist. And it's never too late to change. A friend of mine just wrote in a private (no pun) e-mail:

People who want to keep their collections complete now have a serious dilemma.
(P.S.: if by "homosexual" the home wrecker means a lez line, which I don't think, it looks like magnuspym wish was granted)

When I was reading all of the fluff about their "Gladiator" film by Adamo, I actually thought it would be the perfect time for them to shoot a gay title, what with all of those Roman Legionairre sets, and gladiator outfits and whatnot...
I don't know what the overall quality of Gay DVDs and videos is like compared to straight ones, but I'm sure a studio with the production values of Private (not to mention the seeming ability to summon endless hot euro-babes out of Eastern Europe) will do well..
As for prices, well I have no idea if they'd market a gay line at the same tier as their straight dvds and endless comps, but if they did, they'd surely sell piles..
Quite obviously, nothing to do with the line content. Or gay dvd lines. Or if they're black or white, red or blue. The "degrading" comment only concerns the way this specific label has changed to meet a larger audience's expectations. This post was a consequence of many recent threads and not a consideration about a possible gay or soft or all black or all bestiality or all midget or all French people line from the Swedish company. Whether other people may agree or not with the way we, as fans, feel about these changes is a totally different matter, and it's been discussed at lengths. As we saw, the majority of the posters is very interested about the new developments and they're even asking for more. A smarter comment would've been: why, in porn, lez is not equal to gay?
I must have missed all the threads that talked about this stuff (either that or I'm really thickheaded) but I still don't quite understand. Is he talking about AVN (the magazine)? I've never read that mag, so I don't know what's degrading about it. So I guess that was my real question. What is it about the AVN magazine that is like a company branching out into a new line that some loyal customers might not like?That may have been a smarter question, but I have zero intest in that subject (it's been debated to death, anyway)

No, joe, my apologies to you, of course. The funny thing is that I originally wanted to remove the "AVN" part ('cos it would re-open the querelle about American vs. Euro porn, old Private vs. new Private, old vs. new, pretty girls vs. bad video FX), but then forgot about it. That's my friend's point of view, but I made it mine once I put that quote in my post. And to call things with their names, we meant that *Private* is degrading itself (as in losing its identity) trying to please a new market (mainly the US market but maybe just a wider audience). It's a hostile comment on the American porn industry, represented by AVN, but still in a "I like it"/"I don't like it" sort of way. Probably, they (Private) have been planning a gay line since the '70s, so that's definitely not what bothers me. And, believe me, joe, I even find many gay stars more attractive than some American starlets that Private hired recently.

I would third the idea of a Private gangbang, but only if directed by someone who knows how to direct a nasty gangbang like Jean Yves Le Castel, and if it has tons of double anal gangbangs. Heck, make it a completely double anal gangbang -- that will be a first. Gina Blond is the star that comes to mind for this gangbang together with Sandra and maybe Sarah.
