| karlwikman Member 32 Posts 7/03 |  Posted - Dec 7 2003 : 3:52PMI recently purchased two DVD titles from Evil Empire; Flesh Hunter 5 by Jules Jordan, and Crack Her Jack 1 by John Leslie. I am used to their products having the very highest image quality, but these two titles were horrible. It looks as if the frame-rate has been reduced to under 20 frames per second, because all quick movements result in heavy pixelation and hacking. I wonder if they have been remastered or badly copied, because the boxes say thet they are distributed by I would strongly recommend other europeans to stay away from Evil Empire titles on this label, and I would suggest to any Evil Empire employees that happen to read this that you look into the quality of the products of your distributors. So I think the last scene from Flesh Hunter 5 (it's the second scene with Jules and Charmane Star) isn't in the Paradise-Version. Tricia, I am anxious for what you announce us on January. | Ramsey Senior Member Trina Michaels fan 10332 Posts 10/02 | Posted - Dec 8 2003 : 7:26AM Here in Holland Shiva/Night Trips releases almost all Evil Angel movies and the quality is good but they remove all the extras when they do the transfer and I think that kind of sucks because most Buttman movies have a lot of extra footage. The extra footage of Tricia in Buttman's Toy Stories for example is worth the DVD alone ;-) This is the reason why I buy my movies directly from the US. [Link] |

I said in my post that I have never before experienced any problems with Evil's products, and that I am used to them having the very highest quality. Now, these boxes looked like regular Evil titles, with the Evil Empire logo in the right corner, and cover design as usual. It was not until I came home and watched them that I looked more closely and saw the fine print, and that I had bought a copy. And I really didn't expect titles that were this new to be available other than in original! What will happen in January, that you will have more to say on the topic then? This includes the UK due to their classification board. We believed that many of the dissatisfaction of the DVDs of some European distributors had much to deal with the fact that each country/territory has a much smaller market than Europe as a whole, and therefore the DVD manufacturer for that country had to be more budget-conscious. As we sell the US-version DVD pieces into Europe, we will continue to do business with our current distributors. The thing that will change is that instead of making their own DVD for their own country, they will be distributing the American-made DVD. This will take effect with our titles starting with our January 2004 releases. Nothing will change for the movies which were released before that. [Link] |

I wonder though, why all the original menu structure and extras have to be hacked out? As far as I am aware the BBFC have nothing against menus and extras on dvds! Someone on another board suggested that the BBFC charge per minute of footage for classification and this may be why the extras are hacked away. I just wondered if you knew whether this is true or whether the reason lies elsewhere? Also, if I may hijack this thread for a moment and steer it slightly off-topic, I note in 'Buttmans Big Butt Backdoor Babes #3' a scene with Katia where a glass/acrylic butt plug is used with a 'Buttman' logo on the side. Assuming this is not a one-off product I was surprised as I could not see it for sale on your website. I wonder if this, perhaps along with Skronkers newly prized beer cooler, are liable to be available in the future? I am sure there is more potential in peripheral EA product sales than is currently exploited (I recall a thread regarding new EA branded clothing sometime last year but no new products seem to have surfaced).
