I just received my copy of WOAD #3 from adultdvdempire.com. I own about 50 EA DVD's and they have always come in red DVD cases. Just to be sure I have an authentic copy, are EA DVD's now coming in black cases? My copy did come factory sealed. If so, this really throws off my color scheme :-)
Tricia,
Maybe you can answer this possibly?

Wow, that would be a change, and foul up my organization.
I don't think so...I've got some recent EA releases that are in red cases. Seeing that they are distinctive, cost pretty much the same as black cases, and serve ever so slightly to deter piracy, I can't imagine why EA would switch.
Was the copy shrink- or cello wrapped? I have gotten discs from ADE on occasion that appear to have been re-packaged.
My copy was cello wrapped. Adult DVD empire was out of stock for a day then got them back on so mine was shipped out quick. The only thing I can think of is that because the DVD case needs to hold 2 DVD's, they either ran out of red cases or they dont make red cases for 2 DVD editions at all? Anyone else received their copy of WOAD #3 yet, and if so, what color case was it in?
I just dont like the idea that mine wasnt truly factory sealed from EA themselves if that is the case.
As far as case color, black cases are a lot more common than red, clear, green, etc. ones are. Pretty much anyone who is familiar with EA or Elegant videos would see a black case sticking out like a sore thumb.
As far as the two disc cases, weren't Ass Collector and Buda in red cases?
I'm sorry I can't asnwer the question--I rented WOAD3.
From time to time, Evil Angel's distributor of cases has run out of red cases and they have had to use black cases for some of their discs. It definitely wasn't across the board for WOAD #3, because mine was in the red case normally associated with EA.
Well thats just it, I placed my order a few days after it was released, so you wouldnt have thought they would run out of red cases so quick! Oh well, guess I am just unlucky. I just wanted to make sure I had an authentic copy and that it was not repackaged once shipped to adultdvdempire.
Some may read this and think what does it matter what color case :-) For me it was more for authenticity.
The cases aren't title specific. They are the same red case for every title. They run out when they run out. It doesn't matter whether they are for a brand new title or one that has gone thought 4 re-prints.

Bill - are you sure that your Weapons of Ass Destruction 3 (the 2-disc one) was in a red case?
All of our 2-disc movies have been in black cases. We haven't been able to find any red 2-disc cases that are good quality. Shark - your copy is fine. Enjoy!
I got my copy of WOAD 2 and it is a black case. I think the red case would look funny combined with the cover of WOAD 2 so its a good move to change to black.

Coyote - never all black. And clear - although it does look cool, for now we like having the red case identity. Just like we had red VHS shells forever.
We'll more likely keep looking for good quality 2-disc red cases now that we're doing more and more 2-disc sets.
just to revive this - i just got a copy of furious fuckers final race from a friend in a black case - becasue of the previous posts i assume this is the real deal and not a canadian version.
