Oh Lily. What The Fuck. Shenanigans? Really? You just minimized every woman who has ever been assaulted by not protesting this, including YOURSELF {still fear cattle prods?}. He is accused of multiple assaults ON SET; Stoya says he violated her in ways no partner should ever violate someone they claim to love And in the most damning statement I have read:Pick a side. I do not care if your favorite actress works for them. You buy one scene, you support the abuse. It's that black and white. Want things to change? Hurt The Money.
There goes Flac on his soapbox again. People can't make their own decisions so he'll make them for you.

No actually I am not. What should people do, just ignore it and hope that it doesn't happen again? "Three years was enough time" Did you consult any of his accusers, John? Lily is evidently so fearful of getting blackballed that she's willfully ignoring his crossing the line with her. If you or anyone else can watch his work, ignore what has happened and enjoy what you are seeing, it's your decision, but like it or not, you have picked a side. You support their site, you buy any of their scenes and you support the abuse. Want change? Hurt The Money. They have made it painfully obvious that that's the only thing they care about. Edit: Am I arrogant enough to think that my opinion will make a difference? Nope. Edited by - FlacFan on 2/1/2019 8:13:57 AM
I don't understand how a performer that was sexually assaulted, on set or off set, be blackballed? Does the industry have different standards than the rest of the world? And that the perps can continue to make a living while the victims and survivors be shunned? smh. Edited by - grover on 2/1/2019 8:22:37 AM
DING FUCKING DING! SOMEONE GETS IT!!! [Tweet is no longer available] Edit: Now will any one follow suit? Edit 2.0: There are several add-on Tweets below that statement. I did not want to post them all in thread. I would encourage anyone who cares about this to read them. This woman is smart. Edited by - FlacFan on 2/1/2019 1:06:35 PM
I appreciate your sentiment but let's be honest. It's very easy for you or anyone else to say that we should boycott Evil Angel because you aren't the ones who are going to lose a paycheck(or more) because the company who wants to hire your favorite performer is also willing to hire a sexual predator? Once upon a time you could start a boycott campaign against a studio and it would only affect a very small amount of people but today the number of active studios is quite small and if you deduct the ones that only update every other day then that number gets even smaller. Now if you say that you will boycott scenes starring Deen or you want performers to put him on their no list then count me in. Otherwise don't put unnecessary pressure on performers who through no fault of their own have to work in an industry that still allows douchebags to work with them.

^ Lena Paul just took the hit. Now granted she's a top star, in demand and doesn't have trouble finding work, but there are quite a few studios out there shooting porn and I am not so sure that a break up of conglomerates wouldn't help the industry, but that's not on topic. I see several performers on both sides and they are tied to acts they committed and those acts, for me, makes them un-watchable. If others don't, that's for them to decide, everyone is going to have there own line they won't cross.
I can't cancel my Evil Angel membership but I try to avoid those directors who hire JD or now Dupree, Chris Streams and Darkko I stoped watch or download the scenes. I really like Evil Angel movies and I'm weak for this sorry (but I totally agree with Flac) Also Ashley speak again and she's right! [Tweet is no longer available]
I was in the room when she ran into Deen again and gave her privacy. I was there when she objected to Stagliano about this new movie and again gave them privacy. She was one of the victims, and you are in no fucking position to shame or mock her on how she chooses to cope or address the situation. She is a grown ass woman, and her actions do no more harm to women than your loudmouth soapbox advocacy helps them.

^^^ So what's your solution? The system is broken and rigged against the girls. I don't consider calling things to light soapboxing. So lets just let it fester, condone it, hope it doesn't happen again and that way it can be ignored til the next time. How'd that work for Girlsway?
I hadn't read the article before replying to Flac but my reply wouldn't have been different because boycotting EA would not put money in the pockets of all the performers who work for every other director that EA currently employs. Now that I have read the article. The first thing that comes to mind is that Stagliano is either trolling his fans or it's a big fuck you to them. I mean the movie that Deen is coming back to EA is called Consent because we all know that consent is the one thing that's associated with Deen but not in a good way. This is what Stagliano said in the article regarding Deen: I figured three years was enough time," Stagliano continued. "He's proven that he's able to be very polite and very fair and very asking of permission from all girls all the time. That's what he said to me, that's what people who work with him have said to me."[/quote] Exactly what does "he is polite" mean? I don't think Lily would have been okay with Deen after he slapped her so hard that her jaw locked in place if he had apologized afterwards. I also have to point out that just because a performer consents to something in a scene does not mean that the intensity her partner uses is consensual.
It is up to the performers, the companies, and the justice system to decide how to address this. The only effective advocacy for a consumer if it is effective is to vote with your money. Indeed, the PR backlash may have the unintended consequence of filling coffers instead.

I really don't understand this industry. There isn't enough cock out there that they need to keep welcoming back "alleged" offenders? I'm glad that I found out just how much of a trash person Stagliano is. It would be one thing to welcome Deen back because he believes him but this blatant attempt to stir up controversy and sales speaks volumes about the man. I didn't expect that they would stop featuring Dupree but I certainly didn't expect this. So this consumer has spoken, I'm done with Evil Angel.

Love what Lena is doing here. A top performer speaking her mind on how she really feels about this situation, without course for repercussion or fear is mind blowing! I love it and wish more would follow her lead.
On point! I'm sick and tired in the first place of seeing the same male performers over and over. Offenders shouldn't get a second chance. Seems like one big cousinage.
Other people's accounts of James Deen's conduct in their scenes with him are irrelevant to the allegation Stoya made against James. Larry Nassar's defence team tried to use the same strategy of using character references from the gymnasts he didn't abuse to either discredit the accusations by those he did abuse or those or paint him as "not such a bad guy". Ted Bundy may have been charming individual who was polite and courteous to many women but that doesn't negate the fact he murdered dozens of women as well.
That's all the more reason to be cautious.
Only because Deen wasn't charged with a crime. Just because a gang rape happens, that doesn't mean you should join all your fellow gang members taking part. Just because you can do something (regardless of legality), that doesn't always mean you should.
Exactly what did Deen admit by "bad stuff"? I admit I broke the glass on my dad's greenhouse as a kid, I admit I don't always recycle, I admit I wasn't wholly truthful to my mate's girlfriend when she asked if I knew about him cheating on her. I've done "bad stuff" in my time but I haven't been accused of having sex with someone after she said "no". I agree that calling a title Consent is a big "fuck you" to Stoya and anyone else who's claimed Deen went too far. I won't be renewing my subscription to Evil Angel next month either. Sure, I'll probably miss out on a lot of content Mike Adriano does that I really like unless it is also released on the KB Productions sites but in no good conscience can I financially support Evil Angel any more. James Deen may not have been charged with rape but the fact that I haven't heard of him refute Stoya's allegation is pretty damning.
^ "Other people's accounts of James Deen's conduct ... are irrelevant to the allegation" Sorry to go off-topic, but character references are often used in a court of law. If you were falsely charged with sexual assault, I'm sure you'd want to know that testimonies from people who've known you would mean something.
Elegant Angel continues to book him, as he is friends with director Pat Myne. Even though the studio's quality has been subpar for many years.

I have to agree with a lot of posters here: I don't get it. What's his angle? If this is a prank, it's in very poor taste, even for porn. If it isn't a prank, what makes you look at this and say "This is good for my business". I'd be very interested to hear what Tricia Devereaux's take on this considering the Marc Wallace incident{s}. By the way, they welcomed back a guy who lied about his HIV status so he could continue fucking women, then cried like a baby when he was made to get tested, so maybe this shouldn't be a surprise, yet here we are. "All my peers are working with him" So that makes it OK and ethical? Google "James Deen Rape Jokes".
I don't think this is complicated at all. If you're against supporting Deen's work, don't support it. I don't know if it's completely fair to boycott or attack an entire studio because of the decision of a couple of people. If you don't want to support Deen politely let the people giving him work know why you won't be supporting their decision. If you're a member of a site that uses him don't click on or watch those scenes. They are aware of which performers gets the most likes and views. If there's enough people showing them having Deen isn't a benefit and more of a liability/negative they'll let him go. Their main goal is to make money and if Deen's being there isn't doing that for them there's no reason to keep him. If performers who have a problem with him say no to working with him at some point it's going to be a problem for those who hire him. Sure there will be new girls and girls with little clout who might feel the pressure to say yes to working with him but if it just becomes a big hassle for those who hire him to have him around hopefully they'll just stop using him to make their lives easier and more profitable. On the other side of the coin. Deen is a fav performer for many people and I have to think the vast majority of casual porn viewers aren't aware of what he's been accused of. Plus the people who don't care what he's done or think the women are lying. So there's a segment of the audience who are happy to see him back. I'm pretty sure that's the audience that who ever hires him hopes to attract. We'll just have to see how this all plays out. I kinda think the segment of the audience who don't know or care will win out unfortunately.

^ Your last paragraph is spot on and completely accurate.
I felt the same shock and disappointment as many are expressing here. I think morbid has a point regarding honoring a survivor's decisions, but I also think this is an issue worth climbing aboard a soapbox for. We're talking about sexual assault, rape, and violent physical assault. Getting upset about that seems like a healthy reaction. We should also consider who has power in this hierarchy of studios, directors, and performers. Personally, I think Stagliano's decision is a kick in the teeth directed squarely at female performers who gather the courage to speak out against popular men in the industry. The name of the movie takes that kick in the teeth and accompanies it with mocking laughter. I cannot support that.
Oops, better be more careful next time even with a little phrase like that, anyways.... I'm sorry, but there's no way in hell I can have sympathy for this guy (James Deen) after what he did in the past and I don't know if I can continue watching Evil Angel after them welcoming him back. It feels like a huge stab in the back for the women who were assaulted by him. Maybe it's just me, but Evil Angel has been having a lot of issues lately being okay with abusers or guys going too rough on girls without consent. What do I mean by this? This is NOT the first time Evil Angel has crossed the line. They've crossed the line multiple times before. With "Cam Girls The Movie", Jenny Blighe did her first and what will be her only mainstream B/G scene for them and she had to call them out on Twitter for going too rough on her when she thought the scene was supposed to be more softcore (I don't remember the exact details, would have to go back in the archive). After all, Evil Angel has always been an extremely hardcore company and I mean super hardcore... the most hardcore anal and blowjob scenes are on there on a regular basis. Watching Evil Angel over the years I just know for a fact that type of porn is not for everybody. It lives up to the "EVIL" name for sure. I'm not familiar with the Markus Dupree stuff, but I heard it wasn't all that good either, while some girls are okay with him. Evil Angel has been going downhill anyway IMO, especially after Mike Adriano moved to Jules Jordan and started doing his own sites (which I'm glad).
That right there is what's grinding my gears about the whole thing. STagliano knew the optics behind this would be bad, and he went ahead with it anyway. Its one thing to hire James after all the allegations, its another thing altogether to title the movie 'Consent', ignoring the context behind everything that happened. No thanks EA ----Dread's Twitter----
Sucks that EA would hire him, but it's their choice to take the financial risk of using him again, and it is the choice of the preforming to not work with him, and the consumer not to purchase their products. I'll take my money elsewhere. Hopefully enough people will do the same and EA will be forced to change their position.
^ Evil Angel will never be looked at the same after this decision, and this isn't the first time. They've had its first couple strikes. This is the final strike, and they're permanently out. Over and over again Evil Angel has only cared about themselves instead of the multiple performers who have been assaulted or abused shooting for this company (or Deen anywhere).

What he did would not force me to stop watching any scenes with him that were pretty good in the past, but Evil Angel has been shit for years, and hasn't produced good content worth subscribing for except for one director who left early last year.

Karma RX in her Twitter "For the record, I fucking LOVE James and THANK YOU @EvilAngelVideo for doing this 🙌🏻🙏🖤"
Ugh...I like Karma RX but this will make me look at her differently now. But I kinda get it. A performer or director or fan likes/or is friends with a performer accused of bad behavior and wants to take up for them. It's that "Well, I never had any bad experiences with them..." mentality that they feel the need to share. I understand the thinking behind it but it's a selfish mentality to take. It's basically saying "He never did anything wrong to me so I don't care that he hurt other people...". And of course if that person eventually does get hurt by that person they felt the need to defend they'll have the nerve to wonder why other people are defending him and dismissing their experience.
EA is a publisher many of those directors in there only use the brand to publish their stuff will be harmed even though they have no part in any decision making process of the brand itself, that's up to Stagliano, who BTW is not too immaculate himself I remember very well his dispute with Sheena Rose about him having his dick treated on set without telling to the performers he is HIV+ , even though it's public and you just assumed everybody knewthat , well some of those apparently didn't, they were too young when all of that was fresh news. About his alleged arrogance , he should know better, because another producer/publisher did the same with Mark Wallice when it was dicovered he was back in porn as a director as Mark Gold or Mark Goldberg . DVSX was a raising company with very good movies and fresh ideas , his customers , including me, on this very board begged him to get rid of the man otherwise we would boycott his brand altogether. He responded that how to run his company and who to hire was up to him only plus he was a friend. Well he was right of course But then again as a customer I choose what to buy and who to trust , after that he was no longer among them, I never, ever bought anything from that company from then on, more than that , I never ever bought anything containing any scene from them even from companies who just bought a scene and sold it in a compilation. There was no chance I could give him any cent of MY money. For those who don't know Mark Wallice was responsible for infecting with HIV some performers , WILLINGLY , by forging a positive test into a negative one or even using someone else's tests in order to keep working unprotected even. And he was bringing such a douche to say the very least back into business. DVSX went down not much long ago , struggled awhile and finally died , no weep occurred , it died unnoticed Stagliano must be very careful with such decisions , because who to pay is ours he can claim ignorance all he wants , we still will have to decide where to spend our money or not to spend it , and many of us certainly won't
I know this is probably too far fetch but is it possible that this is some kind of weird twisted marketing ploy that Stagliano has come up to get people talking about Evil Angel? I mean I check out their releases fairly regularly but it's been a very long time since I was really excited about one of their movies. There are some individual scenes that still appeal but I haven't been a member of EA in over a year and I used to have a recurring membership.

^ No, that isn't far fetched. That is exactly what this is, which makes it all the more pathetic and spiteful.
I agree with you 100% Evil Angel was the place that started squirting and other new pornthings. Nowadays their releases don't interest me anymore. I think it went downhill after they stopped their series V for Vicky etc
Not at all. I definitely see it as a cynical, twisted marketing ploy with the belief that all publicity is good publicity. I can't believe the movie title was anything but deliberate given the circumstances around Stagliano having placed a ban on directors working with Deen in the first place.
There are people out there who still feel like R. Kelly is innocent even after the sex tape, the trial, and all the allegations. Im not shocked that there are performers who still love James and that there are fans that will still follow his work. I will say that is pisses me off to hear what he did and that he is getting a pass. I can understand if he was remorseful and apologized and tried to be a better man. He dont even have to do it publicly for everyone to hear. He can do it privately in terms of apologizing to everyone that he feels like he wronged and just moved on and try to be a better man. If he didnt then no matter what happens, we know what he is capable of and it can rise up at any time and this time it could be worst. Evil Angel is taking a huge gamble but its their time and money. I do applaud every performer to stand up against James and the companies that choose to work with him. Nobody should have to put up with being disrespected or abused in any way.
