Well, ladies and gentlemen another eXXXotica convention has come and gone. This year the show was bigger than ever! Over the course of three days I managed to snap nearly 1,400 photos!! (Please ignore the date imprinted on each picture. I forgot to turn off the time stamp feature.) For Day 1, I've managed to narrow it down to 55, so without further ado here we go: The first girls I came across as I walked throught the front door were Phoenix Marie & Jayden Jaymes signing at the BangBros booth. They were fairly busy so I kept moving, but you'll see more of them later. Lexi Belle signing at the LA Direct booth. She was actually a lot taller than I thought she would be. More on her on Day 3. Isis Taylor, also at LA Direct. Looking beautiful in a casual outfit. Tall with long legs, caramel skin and a unique, exotic look. The more I see of her, the more I like her. Monique Alexander looking as lovely as ever working her table at Fantasy Island. Her 8x10s were by FAR the best of any girl at the show. Kagney Linn Karter. Very nice girl with a bubbly personality. Surprisingly, for AVN's Best New Starlet, her booth was not very busy on Friday. Monstar told me that the casual fans at these conventions take a long time to warm up to new girls and it usually takes a few shows to build up a fan base. Joanna Angel. A great girl to talk with. She was so excited when I told her I was member of BurningAngel.com and I volunteered to be her unofficial photographer for her website. The one, the only, the legendary Jenna Haze. I swear, I could photograph her all day long; she's such a natural in front of the camera. Surprisingly, she remembered me from the Jersey show last year. I made sure to thank her for going the extra mile in her personalized autographs she gave me at that show. I asked her if she was serious about doing the airtight creampie scene she mentioned in her Blush interview and she said she was!! She told me Jules doesn't want to do another "Darkside" movie right now. I responded that if Jules won't do, she should just herself and she replied that she was considering it. Overall, just a great girl who works very hard and really cares about making high quality movies for her fans. Teagan Presley & Lupe Fuentes posing together. Sunny Leone. If there ever was a girl who was "too pretty for porn" it would definitely be Sunny Leone. Without a doubt, the most photogenic girl I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. No matter what the angle or lighting, I don't think I've ever seen a bad photo of her. She's always smiling and happy to meet her fans. In fact, she mentioned she doesn't like being pulled away to do the stage shows. She would prefer to just work her table all night and mingle with the crowd. If I were the head of a studio looking to hire girls to work my booth, Phoenix Marie would be my #1 choice. NOBODY works a crowd like Phoenix. Mason Storm signing for Cuban Bread Productions, a new startup company based in Miami. I was very surpried and excited to meet her. Being born & raised in South Florida, I grew up on Latin girls. Mason Storm is right up my alley: long, black hair, olive complexion and a curvy, voluptuous figure. Her scenes for Naughty America back in 2004 were the first porn I ever bought off the Internet. I asked if she was still active and she said she was. She lives in Miami and is going to school fulltime for a degree. With companies shooting fewer scenes and the added cost of flying to LA, she has to wait until she books a certain amount of scenes before she comes to the Valley to work. She was looked just as good in person as she does on video (though, she was a lot shorter than I expected; just barely over 5' tall.) A terrific bonus to compliment my eXXXotica experience. Day 1 continued: Lexi Lamour doing her stage show to a cheering crowd of fans. Definitely one of the better feature dancers I've seen. If she's ever in your area, be sure to see her show if you can. Great pics. Like Dread, I also love Rubberdoll's entire look. And wow, Jill Kelly looks FANTASTIC! Exxxotica has asked me to be a part of the Legends booth for a couple shows in a row now. I'm almost glad I was busy and couldn't go. Can you imagine me standing next to Jill Kelly, who is older than me but still looks WAY better. They both say they are each other's soulmate and Kylie said she's the happiest she's ever been in her life. She was almost like a giddy schoolgirl. Andy was there with and I met him as well. He said he'd like to make more but they're a hard sell to the video distributors who say those kinds of movies don't sell well enough. He says he's had a lot of people tell him this and he appreciates the constuctive criticisim. He wants everyone to know is working on keeping quiet in his scenes. (He said Brazzers won't hire him anymore because too many of their subscribers have complained about him being too loud!) You know, for a man who gets paid to have sex with hot girls & is married to Francesca Le, he's very humble. Just a cool guy all-around. Finally, the last girl I saw on Friday night was none other than the amazing Francesca Le. She's been in the industry more than 15 years and she's still as hot as the day she started (maybe hotter!!) ^^^You'd be amazed at how many people there didn't know how to use a camera. They worst was the staff photographer at the LA Direct booth. Not only did he not realize you had to press the shutter button half-way down to let the camera pull focus before taking the picture, when he turned the camera sideways for a full body shot, his hand was covering the flash when the shutter fired.

Day 2: The first thing I saw as I walked through the doors on Day 2 was Joanna Angel taping a segment for G4 TV. I saw several more times throughout the day interviewing girls for G4. As I headed over to the Legends booth I passed by the seminar area and found Luc Wylder & Alexandra Silk giving a seminar for couple on how to spice up their sex lives. When I arrived at the Legends booth I found Francesca Le taking a photo sitting on a guy's lap for a photo. Francesca Le looking even sexier today in an animal skin print dress. As soon as she me saw she pulled out a copy of "F for Francesca." I thanked for keeping her promise and she told she hoped I enjoy watching as much as she enjoyed making it. Thanks again, Francesca! As I made my way to the LA Direct Models booth I saw Joanna Angel interviewing Kristina Rose for G4 TV. Brandy Talore. One the girls I was most looking forward to meeting. I've been a fan of her for a long time. Srangely, for such a busty girl she was surprisingly short & petite. Just a few inches over five feet tall and maybe 110lb. with her purse. Her hair was a dark brown, which she told me is her natural color. I told she looked great and asked her to stay with that color. Like I said in Day 1, you can't find a nicer girl in the adult industry than Sunny Leone. Kristina Rose. I had only met her once before for 10 minutes at an in-store signing back in March. That brief encounter was enough to get me hooked on Ms. Rose. She is without a doubt, the most cheeriful, upbeat, happy-go-lucky girl working in the industry today. She absolutely LOVES meeting her fans and chatting with them. From signing autographs to posing for photos to answering questions, she did it all with gusto. If you ever attend an event where Kristina Rose is appearing - you must, without question, go out of your way to see her. I GUARANTEE it will be an experience you won't forget.

^^^^ I had that same concern as well: madly in love & recently married and the fact she's auctioning off a ton of her porn memorabilia on eBay. As the contest was winding down, I walked over to her table to chat with her before the crowd dispersed and she was mobbed by fans. When the showed ended and the crowd turned to go back down the aisle, they ran smack in to Jenna's table. Surprisingly, no one stepped up to her table to see her. A crowd of 40-50 guys just stood in a semi-circle around her table. Half of them were taking pictures of Jenna & I from a distance and the other half just stood there staring at us. I remarked that she must feel like a lion at the zoo at these conventions with so many people staring at her and taking photos from far away. She laughed and said she does feel that way sometimes. Finally, after four or five minutes a couple guys walked up to her table and I bid her goodnight. I had to pass by the BangBros booth to get to the exit and found Jayden Jaymes working hard. She was really giving BangBros their money's worth. A crowd of fans clamor to see inside the infamous bus. It never ceases to amaze me how many people are enamored with the bus and how eager they are to have their photo taken inside of it. The thing is basically a giant petree dish of human sex fluids on wheels and yet, every year the crowd can't wait to dive in to it. They weren't looking up because they were trying to balance on the sofa cushions while wearing high heels. (A few of them nearly fell down a couple of times.) Breanne Benson. Nice girl to talk to, very pretty in person. Hopefully, she'll go far in the industry. Sara Stone. I have to admit, I haven't seen very many of her scenes, but I will certainly be looking in to her stuff now. She has the anti-pornstar look: no tattoos, no boobjob or botox, no hair extensions or layers of make-up. Just a natural, wholesome beauty you could actually find in real life. Brandy Talore flashing that sweet smile of hers. I really wish more companies would shoot her. Diamond Kitty posing for some sexy photos for the LA Direct staff photographer. She looked up and saw me taking photos of her too and she laughingly made a funny face for me. Lexi Belle looking as adorable as ever. She has this inexplicable ability to look cute & innocent and sexy & naughty all at the same time. Very sweet and energetic girl who was very enjoyable to speak with. Mistress #11, Joselyn James posing with some DJ wannabe at LA Direct. Very pretty in person; I can see what Tiger saw in her. Next door at Jules Jordan Video, Shyla Stylez was back working the crowd. Amia Miley in a tiny pink tube top and later in the day in a bikini. Like Lupe Fuentes, she's extremely skinny and looks very young, so she's never really made a blip on my radar. Though, again like Lupe, I find myself slowly warming up to her look. She's only 19, so with a few more years for her body to fill out (ala Eva Angelina or Mariah Milano) I think she'll be even hotter. Kristina Rose posing with a fan. That guy wasn't sneaking a grope, Kristina insists you squeeze her booty when you pose with her. Kristina... what can I say that hasn't all ready been said? Just a bundle of energy packed in to a 5'1' frame. It is impossible to be in a bad mood when Kristina is around, she radiates positive energy. Always laughing and having fun. (She drew the funny effect on that 8x10 in the pic.) Like a fireplace in winter, everyone wants to be near her. If I could I'd quit my job and move to LA to be her sidekick. When I walked up to her table, she was all ready talking to two guys (one of whom turned out to be morbidthoughts.) Even though she had lost her voice the night before, she sat there and talked to the three of us for nearly half an hour. Everything from her work with Elegant Angel, her love-hate relationship with Twitter & ADT, to her love for Mark Spiegler (he's not just her agent but more like a second father to Kristina.) Overall, just a great girl who's a blast to hang out with and a definite must-see at any event she attends. Trina Michaels, whose table was directly in front of a speaker and the music was so loud I couldn't hear myself think. A great girl, always happy to pose for fans and is a pretty good dancer. (She bopped to the music while picked out which DVD I wanted to buy.) Tall with a very curvy figure, I love everything about Trina. Kelly Divine. I don't think any other girl interacts with her fans more than Kelly Divine. From working on her website (where she has her own forum) to talking with fans on Twitter, to right here on ADT (Is there any girl who has posted more comments or answered more questions in her thread than Kelly Divine?) Kelly, I thank you for all your hard work. A model at the RubberDoll booth. RubberDoll herself looking very nice in a unique outfit. (Sorry I couldn't get a better pic, everytime I went by her booth, she was busy with fans or whipping a volunteer.) Lisa Ann looking sexy as always at the Legends booth. Another girl who is a natural with her fans, very easy to talk to and always makes time for everyone who comes to see her. Sean Michaels. While I was waiting in line for Lisa Ann, Sean saw me from his table and walked over to me from across the booth. He shook my hand & introduced himself and complemented me on the sunglasses I was wearing. I introduced myself and I said I'd come talk with him after I'd seen Lisa Ann. After seeing Lisa, I walked over to Sean's table and had a very nice conversation with him. I thanked him for his honest & candid answers during the Porn Q&A sessions on stage and on his performance in Joanna Angel's movie "LA Pink." (He said he hasn't seen the movie yet and just got a copy that weekend.) I also thanked him for all his years of hard work as a male performer (I still can't believe this guy is 51 years-old!!) A lot of people take the male performer for granted; most people think they don't matter and after watching a lot of scenes with crappy male performers, I couldn't disagree more. True, when watching a scene everyone is looking at the girl and not at the guy, but it's the male performer's job to make the girl look good on-screen. A good male performer brings out the best in the girl, which makes the sex hotter and the scene better. It's ironic how most guys envy a male pornstar's job yet they don't appreciate his ability to DO his job. The next time you watch your favorite girl do a really hot scene, take a moment to appreciate the guy's performance too, Remember, without him there would be no scene. Francesca Le, Lexi Lamour & Kylie Ireland, who were all just hanging out and were nice enough to pose for this photo. All the Legends together for a group photo. Let me tell you... trying to take this photo with a telephoto lens from ten feet away in crowd of a dozen fans who kept stepping front of me was NOT easy. However, it was well worth the effort. On my way back over to Fantasy Island I passed by Natasha Marley, Madelyn Marie & Paige Ashley chatting at the Blubird Films booth. Teagan Presley looking HOT in a Rolling Stones bikini. In my opinion, her body is the best it's ever looked. Not too thick, not too thin - just right! Whatever diet/exercise program she's been doing, it is definitely working for her. While waiting in line for Jenna Haze, I saw this couple checking out a dildo display big enough to equip an army. Jenna Haze looking almost virginal in a simple white dress with a little beret in her hair. I stopped to see her to say goodbye and thank her for coming to the show. I said I hoped to see her again in six months at the Jersey show. Unfortunately, she didn't know that the Jersey show has been to pushed back to November this year. She said she's booked every weekend in November and she's going to Europe that month as well. However, she said she would try to rearrange her schedule in order to be at Jersey because she loves doing that show. Once again, Jenna Haze demonstrates her dedication to her fans by willing reorganizing her very busy schedule so she can fly 3,000 miles across the country to attend what must ber 972nd adult convention. A big thank you to Jenna for her never-ending hard work. Hopefully, we'll see you in New Jersey in November. After saying goodbye to Jenna, I turned to leave and spotted this guy walking around the Fantasy Island booth. Now I freely admit I am a very green beginner when it comes to photography, but I don't think that anyone, not even a professional photographer, needs a flash diffuser the size of a watermelon. He probably had a few lighting umbrellas hidden in his pack. *** Well, ladies & gentlemen, that concludes my eXXXotica Miami 2010 report. Last but certainly not least, a BIG shoutout to AnimeNut for some excellent photography advice that was dead-on balls accurate. His advice was a big reason most of my photos turned out so well. (I'm sure you've all noticed that the color on half of them is very bright & vivid while the other half looks very dull. It seems that somehow the settings knob on top of the camera got turned to a different picture mode over the course of the weekend and I never noticed. Luckily, the photos still turned out fairly well, but it was an accident I will be more conscious of at the next show.) WHAT?!?! Two things: First, there is absolutely no way Kylie's well is anywhere near the vicinity of dry. Second, how long has she been active in the biz? If Kylie ever did decide it was time to give it up, hasn't she done more than enough to make her mark? For cryin' out loud, name one thing she hasn't done in the span of her career - that is, one thing that's actually legal to sell in this country.

Great photos! But yes, I think all of us would always appreciate some pointers and tips to help improve our photography skills. Of course, you got the re-touching and photoshop afterwards. I took about 1,350 on Fri, 1,100 on Sat, and around 500 on Sun, but that's why you always take multiple shots of one person.
Nikon D80 with either the Nikon 18-135mm or the Tamron 18-250mm. SB-600 for flash plus diffuser (either the soft cover or using a business card to cover the top. QB1 battery for the flash (which is attached to the bottom of the camera). For videos, I still got my Canon HF10, and I still need to upload them from the show.
