While I have been a fan of that event the two times I've attended it, I have to caution against the VIP tickets. The one time I got them, I felt quite ripped off. There was a "goodie bag" with junk in it. A pen and some coupons for online garbage. There was supposed to be a "VIP line" to see the featured girls. That didn't happen at all. They didn't even try. That being said, the lines were no more than 35 minutes or so, so no big deal. I just felt ripped off. Maybe something has changed this year? Or if the premium is worth it to you to get access to a room with strippers and a bar (where you pay for drinks)? It made no difference to me. I don't go to these things to drink. This year they say you can also get into "the bedroom" to lounge on beds with "like minded people", but of course only couples (both with VIP tickets) or single girls are admitted. I don't want this to seem overly negative. Exxxotica Miami is a fun event and I thoroughly enjoyed it when I went. I'll almost certainly go this year too. Just a word of wisdom from one who's been before: Stick with the regular tickets. Dr. P
Any adult convention is quite fun. Granted, I think the VIP deal was hyped too much. Last year, you enter this huge lounge where you see 3 cash bars to the side, 3 mini-stripper stages and a center terraced with a stripper dancing in a cage. Then on one side is a signing table where the only thing that happened was on the last day (Sun) when you had three of the Wicked Girls doing autographs and photos. You can see the Bedroom area (beds and sectioned off curtains), but I am not sure what was the turnout for that. Cut the size of the lounge in half. Make it a bit more personal. Plus, you need more adult stars hanging in there. Compare it to Adultcon VIP, they seem to have more goodies.
There's no Venetian Circle Bar or Grande Luxe Cafe in South Beach, but there's a T.G.I. Fridays restaraunt on Ocean Drive and Automatic Slims Bar on Washington Avenue. Both close to the Miami Beach Convention Center.
I've never had anything to eat along Lincoln Road before, but I've been to the movie theatre and art exhibits on Lincoln. It definitely gets crowded with tourists window shopping. I usually go to Washington Avenue, where all the parties tend to be. China Grill is one of my favorite places to eat at 404 Washington Avenue, but it's more expensive than TGI Friday's. Although Wasington Avenue has alot of Sushi & Pizza places that are inexpensive.
I have a brilliant and terrible idea. I actually said it after my first Exxxotica a few years ago and Steph liked it. At conventions like this, you're unlikely to recognize anyone from ADT. Someone who's picture has been their avatar or is in a lot of convention shots is one thing: Monstar, Bono, Anime, etc. But what about everyone else? I recognized Noahped one year from his avatar and talked to him for 5 minutes. But he's gone forever now so... I for one wouldn't mind talking to ADT members in person at Exxxotica. Just to say hi or shoot the shit. At one time I thought wearing a little tag that said ADT in all caps would work. Would anyone do this besides me? Or would a scheduled meetup be a better idea? Or is this a terrible idea overall? Thoughts? Dr. P

Hehe, I had the opportunity once to eat one of those killers in a restaurant....we could choose one....but I guess I found them sad or whatever, so I declined and choose something else from the menu! Thanks! I have no problem sharing my lovely photos of the adult conventions that I have visited. I just bought a 18-250mm lens to help cover the close-ups of the beautiful ladies.
We are in the home stretch. I am sad that AnimeNut won't be able to make it to Exxxotica Miami Beach, but you can find him at Exxxtacy Chicago in July. As for the rest of you photo enthusiasts, polish your lenses, charge up those flashers, and get ready to stroke, I mean... take pictures! =)
