My flight departs in less than 9 hours so I'll be brief. I'm sure you're wondering why I'm starting this thread before the show has begun. The reason for that is I wanted to make sure everyone had links to the photos sites where I will be uploading photos live the show via my smartphone. Since photo apps can be a bit temperamental I'm linking to three different sites you can check out. If one is being problematic I'll switch to another so you won't miss out on any of the action! Flickr Tumblr eXXXotica shows are like marathons with the show during the day and after-parties & feature dancing appearances at night (and hopefully some sleep in between!) so I probably won't be able to post here again until Monday. A&E is much more conservative compared to Brazzers, where they let the girls do almost anything they want. She's really enjoying the freedom. After her contract with Brazzers is up, she has no set plans, she's just playing things by ear. As with Kristina Rose, she's one of the best girls to have working at a booth. I'd say it's a tie between the two of them. Phoenix may not be as loud or boisterous as Kristina but she's every as enthusiastic and wonderful with he fans. Once again, just like she did at the Miami show last May, she worked her table almost all day everyday. On Saturday she was there from 1pm - 11pm!! I stopped by the booth that day and spoke to Jules himself. I cautioned him to make sure that Phoenix take a break from working the floor or she'd sit there all day without stopping to rest or eat. He assured that he would get her to take a break during the day. I asked if she has made any progress in making an all-Phoenix movie sine "P for Phoenix" never materialized. She's hasn't had much luck yet. There are a few studios willing to do it but everyone wants the movie to include a blowbang and/or gangbang but Phoenix has no interest in doing one. Three guys at once is her personal limit, any more than that turns her off. Getting banged by a dozen guys on an assembly line is not appealing to her, which I completely understand. It had been a full two years since I saw her at the 2009 New Jersey show. She was supposed to appear in Jersey in 2010 but her mother made an unannounced trip to LA to visit her the week of the show, so she had to cancel. Naturally, I had to bust her balls a little about this fact.  I brought one of skateboards for her to autograph but I forgot to get a photo of her with it.  We reminisced about the 2009 show when she was at the TeraVision booth with Evan Seinfeld & Lupe Fuentes, who are now in hiding because Lupe is wanted by Interpol. In fact she was giving away copies the movie she did with Evan called "Smokin' Hot Asians" for free with any purchase, just so she could get rid of them. As she was autographing a photo of me and her from the 2009 show, I mentioned that it was Evan who took that photo of us. Asa in turn took the photo of me and Lupe. It's amazing how far she's come in the last two years. When I met her in 2009 she was a young up & coming star with a ton of potential. Today she is one of the biggest stars in the industry today and she is THE Asian pornstar right now. When anyone talks about Asian pornstars the first name that pops in to your head is Asa Akira. She was very flattered and very humble about this statement, attributing her massive popularity to the drought of Asian girls in the business right now. The only other girl shooting regularly is follow Spiegler girl London Keys, who is a friend of Asa's. (Kaylani Lei does 5-6 movies a year for Wicked, Mika Tan shoots sporadically every few months, Charmane Star is G/G only, and Michelle Maylene only does softcore, no hardcore anymore. Katsuni & Miko Lee are still active but they don't shoot nearly as much as they used too.) I picked up a copy of Insatiable 1 & 2. I asked Asa about a [invalid URL removed]blog she wrote on her website where she explained how much she has come to love anal sex. Shooting and feature dancing both solo and with Teagan Presley as part of their T&A Tour. They were dancing together at a club on Friday and another one Saturday. I went to their Friday show since it was 15mins from the hotel. It was a very long show, six songs and nearly twenty minutes long. Unfortunately, due to local zoning laws, it was more like a bikini bar than a strip club. The stage was built behind the bar so access between them and the fans was limited. They also wear not allowed to nude at all. They wore thongs and had pasties covering their nipples. These factors greatly reduced their tips even though the place was jammed packed. Their show was good, but you could tell they were holding back because of the restrictions & regulations. I'm still glad I went since I had never seen either of them feature dance before. I would love to see them again in a real strip club without all the rules and restrictions. [Link] |

This kicked off a very spirited discussion between the two of as to what color her hair really was. She refused to concede that her hair was black in color, so I decided to yield. I told her that if she said it's brown, then it is brown. Later on I tweeted a photo of her with a moment about her hair color and she re-tweeted with a comment of her own, still not admitting defeat. I'm glad she had a sense of humor about the issue.  In other news, she has shot a few new B/G scenes with her boyfriend, Kieran Lee, for Brazzers. I can't wait to see her in a gonzo scene, even if it is Brazzers. [Link] |

I laughed and immediately forfeited the discussion before it had even begun. To be fair, she did have brown streaks in her hair but they are not visible in the photos. The two of them were feature dancing together for one show only at Sapphire's in East Manhattan. I would have loved to see them but it was along drive from Edison with added has of going through the Lincoln Tunnel, the across the island to the east side and then thirty blocks north to the club's mid-town location. Since I had been at the show all day Friday & Saturday I was very tired and my legs felt like jello. Instead I had a nice dinner at the hotel and then went to see Sophie Dee feature dance at a club only 25mins from the expo center. [Link] |
