Hi,

I was wondering if anyone else found some DVDs in a pornstore which looked "not" as real as they normaly would.
I recently found some DVDs which only cost half as much as they usually do.

More info needed, what brands, what did not look "real" about them.
There is some stuff out there that wholesales for two bucks or less.

Hi,
They were Evil Angel DVDs ... and i think i own enough to recognize a "unreal" look. The covers looked like being color-laser-prints. And the price was half as much as the shop takes for the other "original" looking DVDs. Next time i´m in this shop i´ll ask them were they are from. Since they are wraped in shrinkwrap i couldn´t take a look at the DVD Labels

You might want to contact Tricia about this. I wouldn't be at all surprised if she asked you to pick up some of these discs for her.

I'm not necessarily blaming the shop owner either. But if bootleg EA DVD's exist, and he's selling them, he's the start of the chain that must be followed to determine who is doing the bootlegging.

On the other hand, the shop owner should know how much Evil Angel DVD's typically cost. Unlike other companies, EA doesn't discount catalog titles, so shop owners never get EA titles cheap enough that they can sell them for half price.

The fact that he's selling them for half price tells me that it's not likely that he has unknowingly bought bootlegs (if, that's in fact, what they are).

Cubesnake - do you live in the New York area or somewhere near the Canadian border?

I'd like to talk a little about this, either through this thread or in email.

Thanks

I see them all the time now, pretty much from every studio as well, EA, RLD, PXP, ZT, Ana, Dia, DVSX, Andrew Blake, WCP, DS, Devils...

Pretty much the only studio I dont see pirated product from is Private. I'm guessing that's because Private have a local (Australian) presence while on the other hand what is Tricia going to be able to do about some shop in Melbourne Australia with a bunch of pirated EA discs?

/sigh

Hello Tricia,
I´ve been in the mentioned shop today ... but i could not get any news (yet) . The boss was out and it doesn´t make any sense in asking the clerks (they have no clue). But i was surprised to find DVds from a German company that bought a huge amount of EA Titles and other Studios as well. On the covers it says "original Version" but i´d rather buy the US Versions ... even though the (German EA DVDs) are being sold for half the US price
