It sure tries - however, it offers special buys to retailers from time to time and retailers often don't go by Falcon's suggested prices. Plus, retailers, especially on-line retailers, have sales. By shopping very carefully and taking advantage of the system, you can find Falcon titles for $35~40 - but only a few 0f them at a time - and quite possibly, not the ones you most wanted. You also need to decide if the censored material on many of Falcon's titles is important to you.

spring break was one of the first gay movies i saw. i used to have an uncensored vhs copy of it with the cradel fisting scene(which i personaly found a bit much). but its a great film and i'd love to get a copy on dvd. so i'm assuming the only thing cut from that film would be the cradle scene?
There is the argument that some acts are illegal based on community standards in many parts of the United States. Most studios don't film such acts. Falcon makes a big deal of producing some of their videos with fisting and water sports, advertising that the uncensored version is available only by purchasing directly from them at very high prices - it's more money in their pockets. In most cases, the missing material from the censored version makes no difference whatsoever to the storyline. What is really annoying is that sometimes Falcon shows the censored act blacked-out so that it is painfully obvious that something is missing. If the edits were such that the missing material made no difference, it wouldn't be a big deal.
XRENTDVD is selling a copy of Falcon's Ass on the Line , which is part of Falcon's new line, Hot Hand Productions. From what I understand, it's a fisting line, so it should be safe to say that Ass on the Line is primarly a fisting video.
BUT, does this mean that the XRENTDVD version has all the fisting edited out? That sure would be something, eh? A fisting video without the fisting?
I can't answer you. Falcon lists the series as having both censored and uncensored (sold only directly by the studio) versions. So, I guess that is exactly what it is: a fisting video without any fisting!
Maybe this will answer the question. I bought Fallen Angel 3 from XRent, and here is an excerpt from the caption on XRent:
"There was so much great sex footage that, using only the very hottest of the hours of film shot, we ended up with a 3-hour, non-stop action video!"..."This is the kind of hard-edged action you've been waiting for: Fisting, un-relenting flogging, bondage, torture, gang-bangs, sweaty fucks and throat-choking suck sessions!"
Of course, that wasn't what I got...I should have looked at the picture, as it says, "Over 2 hours...."...and according to your review of the movie, the uncensored version is 2 disks -- this one, of course, was 1 disk.
I just got my copy of Plugged In from the big FiveStarDVD sale ($31.99!) and not only does it seem like a good movie, but I think it may have been the uncensored version! There's a part in scene 3 where Jackson Price gets a screwdriver shoved up is lubey ass! Isn't that something that would normally get censored in a non-Falcon version? I guess it's possible that they could have edited out something else (possibly fisting ... they were wearing gloves afterall), but there were no glaring cuts, or big black boxes covering the action. Not even a mention anywhere to buy the full uncensored version at FalconStudios.com.
Maybe FiveStar is starting to get unedited versions of Falcon flicks now? That doesn't see right. Maybe its just a goof up on Falcon's part.
In any case, I think I'm officially in love with Leo Bramm. What a hunk! And he even bottoms in his scene!
I'm amazed the screw driver scene was included. I was under the impression that there is fisting in Plugged In (as the gloved hands would indicate) but I could be wrong. At least, if it is the edited version, Falcon has cleaned up its act, leaving out the cheesy black-outs and ads for the uncut version.
It would be really nice to know the whole story here.
I just noticed something else that may explain things with Plugged In... on the cover of the DVD, it says: Director's Cut. I'm pretty sure that means this is the uncut version. I haven't been able to find any other scans of the DVD cover online, but the other VHS covers I've seen (at non-falcon stores) don't say Director's Cut on them.
I wonder how Five Star got a hold of the Director's cut?
I just noticed something else, too! At Fivestar, their images for the DVDs Red Hot and Hot Wired both say director's cut as well! strange....
Falcon has some of the worst prices in all of gay-porndom. Their list prices are often in the $80~90 range for a video that is sometimes as short as 75 minutes. However, very few people pay list prices for Falcon videos. Falcon does have what they call a membership club that entitles members to get a discount, usually 10%, off their list prices; however, the membership costs $25 per month and the discount is not worth a hill of beans - at least in my opinion. Plus, I'm told that Falcon's membership website really isn't worth the money (based on the opinions of several people I know - I've never joined Falcon's membership website so I can't validate their opinion).
By the time Falcon titles get distributed through normal retail channels and are being sold over the internet via mailorder sites like the ones represented here on ADT, their prices are in the $30~50 range, much more reasonable. And, by shopping carefully and using coupons and ADT's KickBack dollars, it is possible to knock those prices lower by 10~20%, making Falcon titles down-right affordable.
The only remaining problem is that Falcon often edits titles for general release by removing certain scenes involving water sports, enemas and insertion of objects other than dildos into the anus, including fisting. To get the uncut versions of these particular videos, you are usually forced to buy directly from Falcon and pay their high prices. Then again, these scenes may not interest you at all, making Falcon's censorship a blessing in disguise.
I created this thread in an attempt to keep a current list of the video titles that Falcon has censored for general release. That way, you will know what you are getting if you order from other sources.
I purchased "Hot Wired" from Fivestar. The version I received is the uncensored version. It says "Director's Cut" on the front and back of the keepcase and on the disk itself.
There is a very graphic fisting scene between Addison Scott and Johnny Rider. Johnny Rider also takes up some very large dildos. There were no black bars anywhere on this DVD.
I have no idea; it has to be a mistake on Falcon's part! However, I intend to buy several Falcon titles from FiveStar taking advantage of their kickback dollar redemption special and their special Falcon prices! No way I can pass up such a great deal.
Which ones are you planning on getting? I was thinking of picking up a few more from Five Star, but none of the titles they have left at $31.99 are poppin out at me. I almost got Hard Wired, until I read the review at Radvideo. They make it sound like the scenes are just a bunch of leftovers.
(btw, my review of Plugged In is up. I really liked it! too bad it's now sold out!
The General Release edition is a very hot video, consisting of four scenes with generally really good chemistry between/among partners. The third scene, in spite of some serious double dildo work (into one ass), is the weakest of the four.
The Director's Cut edition adds self-fisting as well as partner-fisting to the third scene - it is still the weakest of the four scenes with some seriuous lack of wood at times. Unless fisting is your thing, don't waste the extra money.
The General Release edition is good but the sex is more simmering slowly than boiling over with the possible exception of the scene between Vidanov and coverboy Volt which easily justifies the video's title.
The Director's Cut edition adds about 5 minutes of Vidanov with his ass cheeks spread, inserting the tip of a shower hose, filling himself with water and then expelling it slowly. There is no sexual heat here whatsoever. However, the heat rises to boiling when Vidanov tells Volt that he is clean, "Inside and out," and their sex scene begins. Again, unless an emotionless and sexless shower enema scene is your bag, don't buy Falcon's bull - the only extra is the enema.
Wow, we're starting to get some really great prices on Falcon DVDs all of a sudden. GayDVDNow has 3 for $27.77:

Just received Eye Contact from AdultDVDNow and it is the Director's Cut. Though this is not on the scanned pic on their web site, both the cover and the disc mention "Director's Cut". A $12 saving from FiveStar. didier

The average cost of a straight DVD or VHS sex tape is now 3 for $9.95. The average cost of a gay title is $59.95. The copyright notices are equally absurd. You can show a straight movie to an audience, as long as you receive no monetary compensation. You must always pay a royalty for gay.
Falcon pays "adult Male film models up to $1500 compensation". That's nice considering the averag profit is around $2 Million, that's right $2,000,000. Straight men make a percentage of the movie, usually around 2%.
It takes around 3 months to make a gay film, and depending on number of scenes, a week to film a straight.
on and on and on and on...
Go buy some insurance instead, better return for your....
Hi I was wondering if anyone knew what was different between the dvd Sprung (jocks jvp-101) and the directors cut, specifically. There is a scene where addison scott puts "a bandanna in his ass, pulling it out and stuffing it into the blond boy's mouth" and i was wondering if that was in the regular release or not. Also, anyone who has seen the movie, is it any good?
I have the director's cut - I suspect the differences are these (by scene):
Alec Martinez gets fucked with a billy club
the scene you describe - Matt Skylar gets stuffed and then gagged with a red bandana
pretty normal if you can overlook the close-ups of razor burn and pimples on Caesar's ass a he gets plowed
the obligatory run-of-the-mill orgy scene - not one of LaRue's better group efforts
I'm guessing that both scene 1 and 2 are censored a bit but I doubt you really miss much - cutting those parts probably reduces the video's running time by about 3 minutes.
The guys are gorgeous (typical Falcon) and the cocks are huge. The 1st scene was great - and not because of the billy stick - chemistry among the three participants was excellent. I'd rate it 4-1/2 stars but the video, as a whole, only 3 or maybe 3-1/2. The jail guard, convict, and police costumes were a good idea but not really very convincing. Continuity sucks. Towels to protect a couch magically appear and disappear only to reappear in greater numbers. Considering the couch, cum stains would have been an improvement.
I suspect the real truth is that Sprung was LaRue's excuse to see some cock one weekend and get paid for it rather than having to shell it out - oops, she did have to shell it out - my bad!

Not off-hand. Check with some of the vendors who have had Falcon director's cut titles in the past (FiveStar & AdultDVDNow). Plus, several times a year, Falcon has half-price (or greater) sales on some of its titles for members only, making it worth buying the 2-week trial membership, placing an order, and then resigning the membership. I went on a Jocks & Mustang shopping spree the week before Christmas: Cost me $16 to join and I ordered 23 titles on DVD (13 of them director's cut versions) at $25 each plus free shipping!
If I were you, I'd put Sprung on my long-term list and wait for a great deal rather than buying it outright. It really isn't worth Falcon's normal asking price. Chi Chi LaRue has done some good work in her career but this is clearly not her best.

The only thing I can suggest is that you order by telephone rather than online and, while you have the person taking the order on the phone, ask which version it is. He or she may have to go look at the box. Director's Cut is clearly printed in small white type (dark background) on the cover directly beneath a white circle containing the letters "DVD" on the upper right-hand corner of the Sprung case cover.
As a general rule, this is one of two placements of the Director's Cut label, the other being directly beneath the "Jocks" (or "Mustang," or "Falcon," etc) brand label.
Each of the DVDs is also clearly tagged as being the Director's Cut version as well.
Let me again point out that I really do not know what has been cut from the general release version of the video; however, I would suspect that both the billy club and the bandana anal insertions are likely candidates.
