Somehow I managed to get this on the PC this morning. And somehow after 40 minutes of trying to get into my PC (It locks you out of your PC for those that aren't familiar) and leaving the PC on but not logged in for an hour it magically went away? Really, really weird.
I got my Virus Tech Support through McAfee Verizon to go through the registry and they did not see the virus. Although he was moving so fast he may have deleted it? Although since I tried many times in safe mode as well as networking safe mode to get into the PC and it still didn't let me in that is strange.

I'm not familiar with the "FBI Cyber Crime" virus, but if you don't know why or how it 'magically went away' I wouldn't bet money that it did, in fact, do so.
This may be of use to you, if you want to verify that it really is gone.

Thanks for the info. I read it. It locks you out so how did I get back in?
I may have not been Pressing the F8 key at just the right time although I was continuously pressing upon re-boot.
"Press and hold the F8 key as your computer restarts. Please keep in mind that you need to press the F8 key before the Windows start-up logo appears."
And after contacting HP, Microsoft, & PC Tune Up they all said this virus has become very aggressive in the last few months. My guess is they are trying to attack windows 8. The virus has been around since 09'.
I actually saw it on a Public Library PC a few years ago.

I'm not sure, and I haven't delved into the behavior of this virus enough to make speculating about it worthwhile.

I have been using the Disk Cleanup Utility forever. Highly recommend that along with clearing the cache all the time. It's amazing how many people do not do this.

Over the past 6 or so months, I've experienced this FBI cyber thing 3 times. The first time, it freaked me out and I took my pc to the shop and they cleaned it out. $60.00 later I was good to go. The last 2 times, it was on my lap-top. I did a hard boot, and it was gone. Much cheaper. I have no idea what it is, but that was my experience with it.
