I've long wondered why the contestants on Fear Factor are able to consume the horrific things they do, all in the name of "fear", while swallowing any more than a few loads in porn, is considered such a prized specialty.

Well, a couple of things spring to mind. First, 'swallowing more than a few loads' is generally not what most people think of when you say 'sex'. In other words, you are comparing a central activity in Fear Factor with a peripheral activity in porn.
Second, rewards matter.

What I don't get is why these people are willing to degrade themselves on Fear Factor but would probably never ever even consider making money in porn.
And I think they should make the girls drink full loads of horse cum on Fear Factor. I mean, they eat like goat balls so why not?
Worst I've seen is when they drank habanero shots. The sick fuck that came up with that idea must be the most sadistic asshole ever. It made me sick to my stomic watching the girls writhe in 10/10 pain...

^The first reason is that Fear Factor plays on network TV and the people that appear on those types of shows want to either break into showbiz or want their 15 minutes of fame. The same can't be said for porn except that maybe and this is a very small maybe. Some of the people that wanted to break into showbiz and didn't make it try their hand at porn. of course I don't have any names in mind so you'll have to give me some if you know any.
Another reason why people are willing to degrade themselves doing those types of shows is because of the money they can win. Let me see. A girl can eat a disgusting food and win 50,000$ or she can get fucked in the ass for 1500$. Which one would you pick if you were in her place?
