The time does appear ripe for the larger firms to pick off vulnerable competitors. And it seems that companies like Vivid and Wicked are positioning themselves to expand their market power, by making DVD's that appeal to Gonzo consumers. The end product, 'Savanna's Secret,' for example is not quite Gonzo, not quite feature--it's Featzo. Is this a new hybridized genre or merely a bastardized watered down version of the 'real' thing?
