Hi All,
Well the first thing that really got me interested in this site and subsequently now that I joined is the feamle adult film reviewers. For me its refreshing and very unusual to see there are women with such enthusiasm to write about hardcore sex films and provide a hwole new perspective than what I am accustomed to. Without being too patronising the women here, I still find most reviews by men I am able to identify with easier than the occassional problem I had with reviews done by women which has greater emphasis on feelings and how the female character feels, something I cannot really identify with. However I find it very appealing to be able to read the mind of these women who reviews these films and gave me a whole new outlook about porn, not just something about getting your rocks off but how it could be a shared experience between men and women and what these women find arousing gives me even morte pleasure. Also I find their use of words are much more clinical and with less bravado than reviews done by men and somehow brings in a element of less inuendos and more as it happens. More to the point in my interest is reading what these women writes, to be honest I dont get turned on by reading something that is written by another man (no offence) because technically he is communicating with me about how sexual this film is and it does nothing for me, however if a review is done by a women I felt that her thoughts are sharing it with me via this film and its get a lot more exciting when I get the chance to view this film.

The reviewers, well Steph use to write here, I remember her text is exact but less graphic and more emphasis on feelings and romantic or erotic, she provides a very acedemic perspective to her texts.

Dumblonde, well she is just excellent and speaks her mind although there are some scenes she may not enjoy there are plenty more she does, her use of words a very clinical and romanticsm is important to her, also she likes to see the men being aroused as well as the female chracters, I enjoy reading her reviews.

Yogagrrl, well I had my first few sample of her writting, what a review she can write so good it can be submitted as a coursework on the subject. Her reviews are exact and very helpful, she can write very graphically accurate and tries very hard to be impartial while adding how she feels as a woman about a particular scene and handle both extremely well. All in all she present everything in detail and many things that she wrote most reviewers could easily have missed, her insight and observation of the film is just remarkable.

Girls, well done and I really look forward to more from you all.
Thanks for your emails Dumblonde and Steph and please by all means email me again if you wish to at shinsakuto@hotmail.com
Of course Yogagrrl, I be delighted to chat with you (or email me) as I never introduce myself to you yet.

Lots of luv

Thank you for your kind words, Highlander. I'm packing for a flight for Christmas vacation, so this reply may seem a little rushed.

I agree that the strength of my reviews is probably their accuracy and completeness (since this is where I particularly focus my efforts). Their weakness is their excessive length. I have a feeling that 1,700 words is about 700 words too long, LOL! Conciseness is something I still need to work on.

-lunacy- is also a female reviewer, BTW.

Highlander,
Here's a review of Fashionistas (VHS) that you might enjoy. MLyons presented a "He said/She said" review of this movie giving both his and his wives opinions in a wonderful format.

Yogagrrl,
I just luv all your reviews for its accuracy and your use of clinical words, as with most female reviewers wins my approval. Please dont ever cut down by thinking that you over wrote because if you do something is always lost in the interpretation, I find your texts very helpful and wished others would write as long as you have. You made the films more enjoyable when people actually go and see it so they capture the moments that you had mentioned. I wish you have a nice time over Xmas and please get back to me (or email me) when you have a chance.
I will check out Lunacy.

BTW is Yogagrrl Asian? I dont know your CV,age marital status, jobs, etc.....

Luv Highlander

I have just read some of Lunacy's reviews, I find her writing has practical value and honest in giving her views, although not strong or graphic in the areas were sex is involved its perhaps does not help me a great deal to choose the film that is about having sex (I dont wish to be unkind), however it does makes me think about the sensitivities many women have about porn films and Lunacy seems also interested in the romantic type scenes with more variety and real enthusiasm from real people when its comes to sex, that what I think anyway.
