Definite bummer ... that was one of my favorite things about Fivestar and usually one of the deciding factors in deciding in which store I should buy from. [Link] |

@folkyboy I think they had this feature for about a year or so. Hope they consider it. Maybe they will loose a lot of customers otherwise! [Link] |

Thank you for the feedback regarding the Treasure Chest. We have had mixed feelings from our customers regarding the Treasure Chest. Some customers love it and some would rather just receive a discount on their order. So, we decided to replace the Treasure Chest with some great coupons. However, we may bring back the Treasure Chest. Thanks again for the feedback. We value your opinions. Michael Crofut FiveStarDVD.com Web Developer http://www.fivestardvd.com [Link] |

The treasure chest is no big loss for me. I prefer the discount coupons. [Link] |

Why not offer both? Make it an either/or situation so that those who prefer coupons get their coupons and those who like the treasure chest get it. Seems equitable to me.~ GaySatyr [Link] |

Five Star, why not just give the customer a free DVD of their choice for ordering a certain number of titles? For example, for every five discs ordered you get one free and so forth. I think a hell of alot of porn fans would like this kind of promotion more than anything else, including me!Edited by - Asmodeus on 4/3/2003 3:47:58 AM [Link] |

@Michael I also think the best solution is to give the customer both and let them decide which is the best for them. If there's no Treasure Chest item which interests me, I take the coupon and sometimes I find a great title to complete my collection and take it for free. What I liked about the Treasure Chest is that I could choose the title. There are some resellers that offer free titles, but the customer can't choose which one to take! [Link] |

I hear you DVD Freak! I liked Five Star's Treasure Chest promotion but I think it would be infinitely better if they gave the customer a chance to choose ANY title in their inventory as their free selection. All their customers would have a better incentive to order more DVD's at one time knowing that they'll be getting a freebie of their choice - instead of something from their very limited selection in the Treasure Chest. Ok so now I know why I didn't get the choice of ordering the free DVD's... I would love to see the Treasure Chest come back.. I understand the discount coupon thing as well, but the free DVD thing was definately my big reasoning behind going to the site and ordering from them...(knowing me though I will still do it..lol..)
