The owner had promised AdultDVD readers to correct site problems by the end of last week. That has not happened. [Link] |

Thanks for the update, jas. That certainly is a weird situation! I just have a very basic knowledge of computers, but even I can make a website, make changes, or take it down if necessary........DB [Link] |

As of Tuesday, January 16th, 2001 @ 7:16 pm Fleshlight.com site still working and operational and looking to jerk off customers.......wallets. Mr. Shubin's empty promise to DB to have the site corrected by 01/07/01 exceeds the boundries of respectability and good business etiquette. Stay away from this site. [Link] |

I have to admit I was kind of convinced by Mr. Shubin's post some time earlier that this was only an accident. But now I'm convinced this was a lie.DB - You're right. Anybody with at least a bit of knowledge could have taken down or changed the site a long time ago. Server-problems can be no excuse. There simply isn't any provider who can afford to have problems for such a long time. If it really wasn't possible for the customers to update their webpages for weeks then the provider would already have gone bankrupt. [Link] |

Well, gang, I once again emailed Mr. Shubin, asking for an explanation as to why his fleshlight.com site is still in operation. As expected, I received a prompt, courteous reply here: Well here I am again with egg on my face. After changing to a new host, it seems that Internet Solutions works at a pace that is not as fast and easy as I would like. Also, my ex-host seems to be slowing the process down out of what seems to be "sour grapes". I have another Internet meeting tomorrow and I am hoping that this site situation is resolved by the weekend. Thanks for your inquiry and I hope you well with your endeavors. Steve P.S. I have not sold the "Stud" to anyone at the $995.00 price. I hope your writer does not think that he is the only one that does not get that price just because he has complained.
I really don't know what to say at this point - although I fully expect to be emailing him again next week, and the week after that, and the week after that, and the week after that. [Link] |

Thanks, Saki. I emailed Mr. Shubin this information that you have brought to light, and I'm sure we'll be receiving another prompt. courteous reply that doesn't pass the smell test. I wonder why the price increase of $900, when actually all you're getting for that is 9 1/2"? $995. model has 8 1/2" $1895. model has 18" That's quite a large difference, in dicks & dollars. I think I will also ask Mr. Shubin this question, heh heh.Buckle your seatbelts, gang! [Link] |

thanks jas, for the info. I also received the following from Mr. Shubin, or 'Steve' as I now call him (kidding). Hello Dumb Blonde, Finally Fleshlight.com is gone. My site is at www.sexfantasyzone.com (which is also being completely redone). You asked why such a steep increase in price without any visible additions to the product. In the beginning, I wanted to offer the best sex products in the world at the best prices. I designed, developed, and patented these bodies in 1994 and 1995. I just started making and selling them without ever really knowing what my costs were. My primary product was the Fleshlight which was born from the bodies with removable orifices. Once I broke down tha actual cost of making these hand crafted bodies, I found that I was loosing money. The problem was that people were used to seeing them at the original price. Once I had to double the price, the people that had known the product at the lower price, thought that I was trying to take advantage. By the way they consisted of two complaints. Now that I have solved the site issue, I'll begin marketing the bodies again. I was looking at Realdoll.com yesterday, and noticed that their basic entry level body was in excess of $6,000.00 with shipping. I felt confident in my product and pricing, especially since their bodies are not relly sexually usable. Anyway, thanks for keeping after me, I'll talk via e-mail again soon. Steve [Link] |

Is it just me or am I the only one who is not surprised that Sake's findings were not addressed in this most recent spin? Your friend, DB, remains true to form. Golden shovel anyone? [Link] |

jas - I hope you were kidding with that, as I certainly was, note the (kidding). It's just that, after emailing him so many times on your behalf, there's a kind of familiarity. Of course his emails should be taken with a grain of salt - and though questionable, I'm not sure if there's anything illegal there, but I'm not willing to be sued for slander just to find out. The fact that the fleshlight.com site is no longer in operation should give you some satisfaction. take care......DB [Link] |

Dear DB-of course I know you were kidding. I hope you know I was too. I am grateful for your assistance in all matters. I understand it is your responsibility to present both sides, even if one of the sides is decidedly tilted. I believe the facts speak for themselves and what Mr. Shubin DOESN'T say is much more telling than this gelatinous mess he has asked us to swallow. I'd rather swallow other things! Thanks, DB! We love you! [Link] |
