| Reason Member 135 Posts 1/00 | From the animated picture on the site it appears that the mechanism consists of two lever arms that translate the rotation of a wheel into up-down thrusting motion at the other end. I have seen pictures of similar contraptions on the net before. Based on the pictures on the Sybian site, the Sybian seems to be more ruggedly constructed, and it has two modes of motion as opposed to just one. Although it is not entirely clear to me how the "vaginal insert" rotates, as it seems to be one piece with the rest of the attachment. Or maybe it isn't? But in that case there might be a problem of female secretions flowing into the works along the axle? Or possibly the "insert" does not rotate per se, but the tip of it moves in a circular arc? Perhaps there is a metallic rod inside causing that kind of movement? The Jetaime gadget, on the other hand, seems to have just a receptacle at the thrusting end of the lever into which the user can attach a variety of dildos and vibrators. I find it amazing how simple these gadgets appear to be. The Venus 2000 on the Sybian site, however, is kind of frightening!

Moving the bolt between holes A and B raises or lowers the dildo 1/2 inch. This adjusts the holder to either tap your bottom or not touch at the top of each stroke. Power is supplied by an industrial grade, gear reduction motor. This powerful motor is rated at 33 inch-lbs of torque, or about ten times what is needed for Jetaime. The power requirements are 115 volt. $1070.00 Plus $45 S&H = Total $1115.00*" ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Thanks, md99, for bringing this to my attention. I've wondered why no one had come out with a piston type before this, but I think at $1115., it's way overpriced. According to information on the Jetaime site, you can use almost any dildo with it, though you might have to perform some..ah.. alterations, like cutting the balls off. I wouldn't mind putting them in a little head to head competition, however. From the pictures, I'd have to say sybian would come out on top in quality of construction. quote: "Perhaps there is a metallic rod inside causing that kind of movement?" Exactly. Which can be replaced with plastic rods, depending on the attachment, which has a hollowed out slot for the rod. Though it would be very difficult for any leakage to make it's way inside due to the way it's designed, the attachments all have a large area base on them. |
