Since june , there are spywares on TEENIEACTION , so don't go there , COOLWEBSEARCH spywares came on my hard disk when I visited this site .

I was able to reset my browser, and I thought that was that. I'm not sure if it is connected but since then, if I'm checking out free porn, my PC locks up. I have to disconnect, run Spybot, and then I gain control of my PC. That's been happening for the last month or so, in the last two weeks I haven't been able to save Jpegs, while online "save type" lists only Bitmap files. I can save files as Jpegs but I have to do it maually - name the file and add jpg extension. Also, my DVDrom has been acting strangely. Up till a couple of weeks ago I could burn about 3000 pics to a disc but now it'll only burn 400-500 pics and then it's full.

I had Norton Antivirus before all this happened, and have since installed Spybot, Winpatrol, Ad-aware and Spyhunter.
Outside Spybot they don't seem to attack the problem and with Spybot I can only browse (porn) for an hour or so and then it locks up again.

Has anyone else had similar problems?

If I can get it sorted out I'll definitely leave "free porn" well alone.

AD AWARE can't do anything against COOLWEBSEARCH .

COOLWEBSEARCH and all its variants ( SMARTSEARCH 1 , 2 , 3 , .... ) control your browser . You are redirected to a site like www.coolwebsearch.com where there are many other dangerous spywares .
The variants like SMARTSEARCH create new files almost every 2 minutes .

You must download SPYBOT , A 2 free ( download A2FREE ) , AboutBuster ( download ABOUTBUSTER ) , CWSSHREDDER and SPY SWEEPER 3.0 .

Update them all ( only SPY SWEEPER can't be updated without paying , so download the version 3.0 what is the latest version ) then scan your hard drive with every one of them ( SPYBOT in advanced mode ) , but without restoring system and in safe mode ( click F8 when starting your PC ) .

They will delete all the coolwebsearch , smartsearch , ... files .

Then restart your pc , restore your system ...

Then download SPYWAREBLASTER and SPYWAREGUARD what will protect your computer when you will be online .

SPY SWEEPER has a guard function too , but with many guards , you will be more protected !!!

" ALL PROGRAMS " ----> " ACCESSORIES " ----> " SYSTEM TOOLS " ------> " SYSTEM RESTORATION " -----------------------> "PARAMETERS ....." -----> CHECK " DESACTIVATE SYSTEM RESTORATION " ( upper little box )

Then confirm that you want to desactivate your system restoration .

Then restart your computer , click on F8 to start in start mode then scan with all the programms I named : A2FREE , SPYBOT ( in advanced mode ) , ABOUT BUSTER , SPY SWEEPER .
( A2FREE scan is quite long sometimes it takes until 50 minutes , ABOUT BUSTER scans twice and it is a little long too until 25 minutes , SPY SWEEPER scan until 15 minutes , .... ) .

When all scans are ended , reactivate your system restoration ( same way ) then restart your pc in normal mode ( so you have nothing to click when you restart ) .
If you can't reactivate your system restoration when you are in safe mode , don't worry , it's normal , so restart your pc in normal mode then reactivate your system restoration , then restart your pc in normal mode .

I hope it helps you , I translated french to english , so I don't know if these are the good words in the english version of windows .

THESE SCANS ARE VERY USEFUL , I SUGGEST TO ALL TO DO THIS AT LEAST ONCE A MONTH WITHOUT SYSTEM RESTORATION AND IN SAFE MODE

This morning Coolwebsearch came on my hard drive ( read my last post ) , and my programs didn't find it .

This evening I updated my programs , and A2FREE and SPYBOT ( in advanced mode ) have found and deleted many Coolwebsearch.homesearch files .

So , I very often update my programs , and this morning they didn't find these files . This evening I updated and they have found them .

So there are some new coolwebsearch spywares running on the net , so TAKE CARE
