Speaking of FTVX, I've made a target deadline to launch in early September. If I'm not at my goal of 80 or so updates at launch by then, I will launch anyway. About the program I use, it actually does work really fast, and is very efficient when it comes to basic editing, but the real reason why I used it is that I keep my videos very raw -- no enhancements or modification in color, sharpness, no transitions, no music, etc... just like the photos, there is no post process.
