I think there have been two major events in the past decade that spearheaded a lot of change. The first was the proliferation of thick, big booty white girls like Alexis Texas, Briana Love and Naomi during the mid-to-late 2000s. This created a permanent shift from breast-centric porn to ass-centric porn. Watch a mainstream porn from 15-20 years ago and hardly ever would see a woman twerking and giving close ups of her ass, even if it was an all-anal DVD. The other major event is more recent, and that's heavily tattooed starlets like Christy Mack, Skin Diamond and Bonnie Rotten crossing over into mainstream porn. If you ask me, Bonnie Rotten winning AVN's 2014 female performer of the year award was a HUGE moment for porn and a real game changer. Expect to see more and more women with that heavily tatted look moving forward as that's now the norm. It's no longer a fetish; heavily tattooed women are now just a normal part of the porn landscape.
I think the next game changer could be a BBW crossing over to the mainstream in a big way. The groundwork has been laid for years with women like Gianna Michaels and now Siri, who are much curvier than most mainstream stars. If someone like Mazzaratie Monica can cross over, it could lead to a BBW revolution and mainstream companies may begin to embrace the fetish and even allow it to be part of the norm (Evil Angel has already been doing this for a couple of years now).

I don't know how to feel about this but tranny porn may change the porn game forever. Seems like that genre is on the comeup, with studios like trans500 and jay sin having a ts playground . If they could get trannys that are hotter more woman like in porn movies it could change and win a lot of people over who for at the moment, may view transexual pornos as gross or unwatchable.[Link] |

I thought about bringing up transgender porn, so it was very interesting for me to read your post. While I'm a fan of that genre personally (and it's definitely more prevalent now than ever before), I still don't feel like the majority of porn fans will embrace it. No matter how sexy the performers get and no matter how great the scenes are, there are a lot of people they just can't win over.

Past/present game-changers:
When the pornmakers "discovered" PAWG, MILF, and bigbooty women.
There has always been popularity of such women in the real world, but the porn world was very late to the party. Future game-changer: When someone invents/discovers/creates a way to make POV porn that looks/seems/feels natural to the viewer.
As it is today, the viewer has to accept the inevitable inherent crappyness/weirdness/awkwardness of POV porn. For instant the one-handedness of the camera view. For example the shakiness of the camera. For example the limited field of view. IMO it is impossible to make POV porn that doesn't suck, because of the unavoidable technical impossibility.
