Wanker Wang at Luke Ford has really hit his stride as far as coming up with one scoop after another. Now he is reporting that Gene Ross (and Thomas Zupko) have been fired from Extreme Associates! Story below:Gene Ross, the guy who has been reporting on headlines for years has himself become one.
Gene Ross is a bright, talented, knowledgeable,and resourceful porn journalist that I fully expect to reappear in a high-profile position soon. He's too good of a man to keep down. But in the short-term at least, it looks like AVN got the last laugh on Gene.

Gene burned some bridges at his brief stint at Extreme, but I would love to see him back at AVN - IF Paul Fishstick has the heart to forgive him, of course.
Thomas Zupko fired??? That's it, the house that Black built is going down because Zupko was one of the few directors there who was making some good movies :-(
Uh...let's back up for a moment....Was Gene Ross REALLY fired from Extreme Associates, or is it just another one of Rob Black's infamous publicity stunts?
Gene roughly left AVN two years ago. Matter of fact it was around Oct 11th when he announced it. Lots of rumors are currently swirling and the same exact thing happened back when Gene left AVN. If you recall there was this huge publicity stunt that Rob Black did. You can read the old story about that from two years ago here:
This could all easily be a new publicity stunt. He takes his site down, rumors fly and then he brings his site back somewhere else. Gene's been a journalist in this biz for so long that I could never see him walking away from it.
