A very impressive posting from the gladiatorial member! - presumably taking his name from the supposed "greatest porn film ever made"!! - replying to the posting set earlier initiated by "mrpeepers".

However, I see that the previous messages' exchange has been terminated although not erased, - however I would pose a question as to why us men have seemingly taken over the word "Gay" ?

"Gay as a brush" was a saying over here in England in bygone days!, meaning 'jolly', 'light-hearted', etc.
"Gay" I understand it now = "homosexual"

This is nothing to do with men however [homo (man) - the Latin], as Maximus will know.

Many UK Television and Radio announcers still mispronounce the word "homosexual" and it is shortly to be effectively banned in England as the Government now considers it to be offensive!.

"HOMO" - It is of course derived from the Greek word "homos" (same) with the sound as the same as "Tom" not as the last phonetic constituent of the word "Potato" - the latter word, one of the USA Presidents had trouble spelling I believe a few years back!

Eg. "homocentric" meaning concentric (having the same centre, as in geometry for example) "homogeneous" - an adjective meaning 'composed of parts all of the same kind', and so on.

I remember hearing a "Pan American Airlines" Hostess from California about 9 years ago in London mentioning that a female colleague was "gay". She obviously thought that females were not ruled out.

The underlying principle that homosexual men wish to be treated equally and have the same rights (no matter what the Bible says about it all!) as male & female, has, it seems, already struck down homosexual ladies, who no longer appear to be included as "gays"?

I am not an expert but am I wrong in that?

Have not men exclusively taken over the word "gays"? Do we not hear phrases such as "Gays and Lesbians" - thus, they are mutually exclusive.

NB. One final point, I would be interested in knowing if I am the only movie fan, who cringes when Private sodomises (known as buggery here) the latest young Czech and Hungarian beauties many of whom I suspect have never been rectally penetrated (buggered) in their lives before?

Private are not entirely to blame, VMD (the late Michel Ricaud directing) probably started it all off moviewise. The USA was quite slow to take the topic up, but they have since made up for lost time! Did Seka ever do this?
